The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is a world-renowned performing arts festival that takes place every August for three weeks in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city. From big names in the world of entertainment to unknown artists looking to build their careers, the festival caters for everyone and includes theatre, comedy, dance, physical theatre, circus, cabaret, children's shows, musicals, opera, music, spoken word, exhibitions and events. In 2024, the Fringe will take place 02-26 August.

We had our first Made in Scotland – Application co-working sessions today at Fringe Central! But don’t worry if you missed out, our next sessions will be:

If you are an artist applying for the fund, you are welcome to join us to work on your application! Tea and coffee will be provided, as well as desks and internet. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks along!

The Made in Scotland team will be available throughout the session to answer any questions you might have.

Fringe in a Fortnight is one of our education projects where we pair up artists with local schools to create their own Fringe shows within two weeks. The project culminates in a ‘mini-Fringe’ day of performances, which took place this last Friday at Fringe Central 🤩

It was amazing to see the project come together, and we’d like to thank the pupils and teachers from Royal Mile Primary School, Preston Street Primary School and St Mary's RC Primary School for putting on their amazing shows; artists Katie Fraser, Huw Turnbull, Ellie Higgins, Sarah Marie Mooney and Carla Hunter for their work with the performers; and Canongate Youth, Cllr Margaret Arma Graham and Cllr Joanna Mowat for coming along to be part of the audience ❤️
