Home win 59-12 vs Peebles 🏆| National Youth Cup, Round 3!

📣 “A very positive result for us and one that was timely and needed for the players’ confidence heading into the October break. We’re still our own worst enemy at times when it comes to compounding errors, but when we looked after the ball, stayed patient and trusted what we were doing, we played some really exciting rugby. We still need to figure out how we can get into games quicker, but overall there were plenty of positives. I was really proud of the reaction from the players in the second half and, ultimately, it was a strong team performance and a well-deserved win.”

What a weekend for the U12 and U14 Banshees 🤩

📣 “They held their first home evolution series at Meggetland on Sunday. Almost 100 players from across the east took part in the event that was a brilliant showcase for girls rugby and the Banshees made sure they made their home event one to remember with 3 wins in all 3 U14 games - well done Banshees! As well as hosting the other clubs there was Boroughmuir support for Looseheadz as part of the Banshees October club challenge.” - Gillian Nimmo, Director of Woman’s & Girls Rugby

U18 Cup Round-Up🏉

📣 ”A positive result for our U18s as they came away with a 54–14 win over Kelso in a competitive cup tie.

The boys impressed when attacking with speed and intent, particularly in the opening 20 minutes, while improved line speed was another positive from the game.

There’s still plenty to work on, but the squad will be delighted to have come through a tricky away test and are already looking forward to the next round!“ 💪

Seniors Weekend Wrap Up 🙌

📣 “The 1st XV were well beaten 60-14 by an excellent Stirling County side. The score probably doesn’t reflect the physical effort from the team, but unforced errors hurt us again. Josh Chapman was named Man of the Match for the second week running after another energetic performance, while Ben Scott impressed on his 1st XV debut at full back. The rest week comes at a good time and will give the players and coaches a chance to recover, review and plan for the next block of games.

The 2nds picked up their first win of the season with a 28-0 result after Glasgow Hawks were unable to field a team. Five points earned and a welcome boost for the coaches heading into the break.

The 3rds narrowly missed out on a win against Linlithgow, going down 38-33 after conceding in the final play of the game. With a few new and returning faces in the side, there were some strong individual performances and hopefully this result provides the boost the players need after a difficult few weeks.” – Neill Wood, Director of Senior Rugby

NEWS: Commsworld has strengthened its long-standing support for Boroughmuir Rugby by renewing two key sponsorship deals with the Edinburgh club.

Commsworld is backing Boroughmuir’s Arnold Clark Men's National League 1 first team for a further year, as well as committing to two more years supporting their hugely successful Boroughmuir Banshees girls squads.

The latest agreements sit alongside Commsworld’s existing sponsorship of the Boroughmuir Rugby Academy, which has a further two years to run.
