We may as a company be gone but we never forget our employees, their families and the sad losses they sadly endure. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Aye right!

We were liquidated on the 28th March. I was advised by the appointed liquidators that Apex solicitors would, after 2 weeks "wind" ACU up through the court and staff who were eligible would be contacted by the liquidators so we could claim our well earned redundancy payments. We are still waiting, Apex are either holding up our payments or there is an issue with their petition. Apex a caring, holistic charity....my πŸ‘ Meanwhile I am living on fresh air.
Charity begins at home, but obviously not if you are Apex.

So far I have not mentioned the "charity" who pulled the plug on us, who let us flounder with absolutely no support, I was taught by my Granny that if you have nothing "nice" to say then say nothing. I am going to take half her advice πŸ˜‰
It is now almost 5 weeks since I, and 27 other lovely people were made redundant. I was told it would take 2 weeks from this date for the courts to "wind us up" we would then be sent a code so those that were eligible could claim redundancy.
No news. No redundancy. No joy.
Apex Scotland I hope you are feeling proud.

Peace and Love, as always, to the people that believed in us. πŸ€—

Mandatory/Sanctions. No words.

This is not a pity post, it's an honest post. Feel free to scroll on.
Today should have been payday..hooray!πŸ€—
But today I received no pay. On the 28th March I was made redundant. After 7+ years of working for a Social Enterprise, helping and supporting people secure employment I was thrown on the scrapheap of unemployment. I'm 60. Luckily I have secured another job (part time....I'm 60!🀣) I applied for Universal Credit, as I am entitled to, and it's been pretty straightforward......however, even though I explained to Emmanuel (my "work coach" who is training and English is not his 1st language) that I already have a job, just not a start date, I need to spend 35 hours a week looking for/applying for jobs. So far this week I have applied for 8 jobs, a waste of my time( I could have been watching yon Reindeer thingy on Netflix) and the employers time. I could get a "fit for work"(old sick line) from my doctor but this would be wasting a Doctor's appointment. I would therefore not have to attend weekly or apply for jobs that I have absolutely no interest in.I know many people who get these without seeing their Doctor. Luckily for me I only need DWP support for a month or so to see me through a difficult financial time. So (as my Granny would say) to cut a long story short, until the DWP treats every person as an individual, checks the bu****it and listens we are fekkin doomed!

Rant over. 😏

I know I said I wouldn't post again but this is too good not to share. 😁

Today, myself and my ex Operations Manager met with a major Nationwide company at Stirling Community Enterprise (huge Thank You to Ally Scott, CEO for facilitating) they reached out to me following the recent press coverage. I can confirm that they are determined to employ all our staff in posts similar to the jobs they had throughout the whole of Scotland. They have already liased with their sister company ( who we had a contract with) to secure 8 jobs. This now means that out of 27 (28 counting me) lost jobs we have already secured 12! And the future looks bright for the remaining staff who wish to secure employment. I am now off to pour myself a large G&T, this being unemployed is exhausting.πŸ₯Ί

Peace and Love to all you lovely people who have supported us through this difficult time.πŸ€—

This will be my final post as I have been advised by the liquidators that I could be penalised? for posting on Social Media under ACU. I would like to sign off by thanking all our supporters, clients and staff. You are simply the best.😍
I will continue to fight for justice using my personal account.

Peace and Love to each and every one of you.

Goodbye. 🀍🀍🀍🀍🀍
