On Saturday, the sun came out for a special gardening and growing-themed event in the Craigmillar Library Garden 🌱☀️
Our brief for the day was to show people how they can use ingredients that can be grown here in Scotland 🏴 Soo our talented chefs did a cookery demo before feeding the crowds. They made potato gnocchi with pumpkin béchamel, followed by apple + pear crumble served with a bright orange carrot custard (it's delicious, honest!)
We also set up a wee summer roll station, where people could make their own summer rolls using fresh herbs and veg, served with homemade peanut chilli crunch and a pineapple sweet chilli, made because we had a weirdly HUGE amount of donated pineapples in the kitchen! 🍍🌶️
