We haven't shared much recently about our Feel Good Friday sessions, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy behind the scenes having fun, enjoying stories, being really creative and using our imaginations!

Our theme this term is animals. We started off by writing the names (or drawing) our favourite (and a few random!) animals and putting them in a special box. Katie and Rita now have a fabulous list of creatures to find stories about, and so far so good! We've already had lemmings, capybaras, llamas, polar bears, elephants and dogs, with more to come including whales, sharks, kittens, highland cows, cockroaches and pigeons.😮🤣

We've used air dry clay, Lego, watercolours, carboard, paper and all sorts of pens and pencils for our creations. We hope you like them!

We're very excited to have received some funding for our project from Scottish Children's Lottery Trust!

We're delighted to share that we've received a grant from the Scottish Children's Lottery! 🥳

The funding will go to Craigmillar Stories for Sharing, our programme for children aged 4-12 and their grown-ups, supporting families to explore literacy through storytelling and creativity.

Rita, Laura and Katie had a brilliant time meeting families and sharing stories at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Thank you so much to everyone that came along, it was really lovely to see so many familiar faces.
