The second half our Edinburgh Festival Fringe Double Bill is Still Life by Noel Coward. Still Life portrays the chance meeting, subsequent love affair, and eventual parting of a married woman and a physician, and was the basis for the Oscar-nominated movie Brief Encounter.

We’re offering two plays for the price of one this year. A real bargain for the Fringe!

First up is Fool’s Errand written and directed by Makars member Georgia Smith

Fool’s Errand is a comedic morality play about a thief who breaks into a seemingly ordinary house, occupied only by a woman and her cat. Unbeknownst to him she is a witch, and doesn’t take too kindly to her belongings being stolen…

Laura is played by Helen Goldie who has been in a number of amateur Edinburgh productions, though this is her first Makars show.
