We decided to set up this clothing bank with the aim to help those that need it. We aimed to give clothing to people in need of help due to the welfare cuts, sanctions, zero hours and those on low wages. From County Durham and surrounding areas we turn no one away. We were one of the first clothing banks to open in the North East helping families of the northeast
We help anyone that is in need,
no proof of benefits is needed. We also have a food pantry giving out parcels on the last Tuesday of the month, £3.50 for ten items which includes tea or coffee, sugar, milk, cereals, tinned foods. There is, a list in office you just fill it in and hand it into kitchen where Mel will sort out your parcels. ALL CLOTHING is FREE. Two bag of clothing per person per visit. Food is once a month, on the last Tuesday of every month. We will provide clothing to those who come for help, we turn no one away. We will try to help people in other areas to open more Clothing Banks, with the aim for them to run them in their own areas. We value peoples input in this and everyone is welcome to have their say in their community. We understand how hard it is for people in this day and age. So do not be afraid to ask us for help. With what is going on in this country and with this government these clothing and food banks are a life line to those in need. Food is £3.50 for ten items of your choice. Food on shelving in hall is free. Open every Tuesday 10am till 2pm
