Have you ever wondered who helps support and develop cycling across the North East?
The British Cycling North East Board is made up of volunteers and British Cycling representatives from a wide range of cycling backgrounds, including:
π΄ Club riders
π΄ββοΈ Recreational cyclists
π² Commuters
π Event organisers
π Officials
π Coaches
βΎοΈ Limitless and accessible cycling champion
π€ Community cycling leaders
Together, we work alongside British Cycling staff to promote, develop and support cycling across the region.
Whether that's racing, recreational cycling, volunteering, youth development, community cycling or improving opportunities for people to get on a bike, the board helps shape and support cycling across the North East.
Some of the ways the board supports cycling in the North East include:

Supporting local clubs, riders and volunteers

Helping deliver youth talent development opportunities

Supporting regional racing and events
β
Providing small grants to help organisations increase participation in cycling
β
Working with partners, schools and local authorities to grow cycling opportunities across the region
