🔧♻️ The average UK household throws away hundreds of pounds every year by replacing items that could have been repaired.

With people spending around £277 a year on replacements for items they believe could have been fixed, choosing repair over replacement can save money and reduce waste.

That's why County Durham's volunteer-led Repair Cafés are so valuable. Every month, skilled volunteers help bring household items, electricals, clothing and more back to life, keeping them in use for longer and out of the bin.

We’re looking for a Fundraising Lead to help grow the income and partnerships that make our work possible.

This is an opportunity to join Small Woods Association, the national charity supporting sustainable woodland management for people, nature and the economy.

Working across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, donations and community fundraising, you’ll develop new opportunities, prepare strong funding applications and help more people understand and support our work.

🌳 Fundraising Lead
🌳 Permanent, part-time- 22.5 hours per week
🌳 Remote working, with occasional travel to our Coalbrookdale office and other locations
🌳 £32,537 pro rata
🌳 Flexible working hours

We’re looking for someone with a successful track record in fundraising, strong communication and organisational skills, and an interest in the charity, environmental or woodland sector.
