Our strategy is based on providing homes and services that make life better; providing homes for rent and also low cost home ownership.

Caledonia Housing Association is a Scottish Registered Social Landlord with houses and tenants across eight local authority areas including Dundee, Perth & Kinross, Highland, Angus, West Dunbartonshire, East Dunbartonshire, Fife, and North Lanarkshire. We cater for many diverse needs, offering mainstream housing for families, couples and single people, as well as supported accommodation, retirement, sheltered and amenity housing, residential care and other specially adapted properties, including those specifically designed for wheelchair users. We are governed by a voluntary Management Board. On a day to day basis, our activities are carried out by a paid staff team.

Winter energy-saving event at the Lethan Hub in Perth 🏠⚡

Perth and Kinross Council has organised a free event offering support and advice on how to stay warm safely this winter at the Lethan Hub on Wednesday 4th November, from 3pm to 5pm.

🏠 New damp and mould protections for tenants from 6 October 2026

New Scottish Government regulations, known as Awaab's Law, will come into force on 6 October 2026, introducing clearer requirements for landlords to investigate and address damp and mould issues in tenants' homes.

If you are concerned about damp or mould in your home, it's important to report it immediately.

We have a dedicated team of Maintenance Inspectors, qualified in the investigation and management of condensation, damp and mould, who will help to ensure issues are identified, investigated and resolved as quickly and effectively as possible.

🔹 Report damp or mould concerns as soon as possible

Today marks Scottish Housing Day 2026! 🏠🌟

This year’s theme, ‘Healthy Homes, Healthy Futures’, is one that is close to our hearts at Caledonia and reflects the important role that housing can play in supporting our health and wellbeing.

‘Healthy Homes, Healthy Futures’ is the focus of Scottish Housing Day 2026 this Wednesday 16th September. 🏠

Earlier this year, as the first tenants moved into their new homes at Whitehill Court in Kirkintilloch, we spoke to them about what having a new home means for their families and wellbeing.

Resident of Whitehill Court, Denise Bruce, described the impact of moving into a new home for her family saying: “The space and privacy that our new house gives us is life changing. I know it will make a big improvement to our mental health. It’ll be great for my son to have his own space, as well as somewhere he can invite his friends. Having a home like this opens more opportunities and will help us to build a happier future.”

Today marks World Su***de Prevention Day.

At Caledonia, we know that a safe, secure home plays a key role in the wellbeing of our tenants. However, we also recognise that life's challenges can sometimes affect our mental health, and that having someone there to listen can make a real difference. 🫂

That's why we recently piloted safeTALK training with a group of colleagues from across our organisation.

SafeTALK is a nationally recognised su***de awareness programme that helps people identify the signs that someone may be struggling with thoughts of su***de and teaches them how to start a supportive conversation and connect them with appropriate help.

Our frontline teams regularly engage with our tenants and communities and during these interactions, they may occasionally notice signs that someone is experiencing emotional distress, isolation or challenges in their life.

The training gives our staff greater confidence to recognise when someone may need help, ask direct and compassionate questions and connect them with appropriate support.

We’re pleased to have been shortlisted for Employer of the Year, recognising our commitment to creating a positive, supportive and inclusive workplace where our people can thrive.

Our Chief Executive, Julie Cosgrove, has also been shortlisted for the Business Leader award. This recognises her dedication and leadership since our formation 15 years ago, as well as her continued commitment to ensuring tenants remain at the heart of Caledonia as we have grown the homes and services we provide across Scotland.

It was fantastic to welcome Dundee City West MSP Heather Anderson to Caledonia yesterday to meet our team and visit some of our homes and communities across the city. 🏡

Heather joined our Chief Executive, Julie Cosgrove, to tour our homes in Menzieshill and Kirkton, where she heard more about the work we do in Dundee West.

The visit was also a valuable opportunity to talk about the issues that matter to tenants and communities, including investment in homes and neighbourhoods and some of the wider challenges facing local areas, such as anti-social behaviour.

At Caledonia, our vision is to create Homes and Communities That Make Lives Better. Engaging with local representatives like Heather helps us raise awareness of the experiences of our tenants, share the work being done in our communities and discuss how we can work together to make them even better places to live.
