Caledonia has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s The Courier UK Business Awards! 🏠🎉

We’re pleased to have been shortlisted for Employer of the Year, recognising our commitment to creating a positive, supportive and inclusive workplace where our people can thrive.

Our Chief Executive, Julie Cosgrove, has also been shortlisted for the Business Leader award. This recognises her dedication and leadership since our formation 15 years ago, as well as her continued commitment to ensuring tenants remain at the heart of Caledonia as we have grown the homes and services we provide across Scotland.

It was fantastic to welcome Dundee City West MSP Heather Anderson to Caledonia yesterday to meet our team and visit some of our homes and communities across the city. 🏡

Heather joined our Chief Executive, Julie Cosgrove, to tour our homes in Menzieshill and Kirkton, where she heard more about the work we do in Dundee West.

The visit was also a valuable opportunity to talk about the issues that matter to tenants and communities, including investment in homes and neighbourhoods and some of the wider challenges facing local areas, such as anti-social behaviour.

At Caledonia, our vision is to create Homes and Communities That Make Lives Better. Engaging with local representatives like Heather helps us raise awareness of the experiences of our tenants, share the work being done in our communities and discuss how we can work together to make them even better places to live.

More tenants are managing their tenancy using Connect. 📲

During 2025 and across 2026 so far, Connect was used more than 18,000 times by tenants accessing services online – an increase of 8% compared with the previous year.

From making rent payments and updating contact details to requesting repairs and inspections, Connect gives you a quick and convenient way to manage your tenancy online, wherever and whenever suits you.

Some of the biggest increases over the past year included tenants using Connect to:

This July at Caledonia, we are making a Plastic Free Pledge. One simple way to cut down on plastic is by reusing what you already have. ♻️🌍

Here are four easy swaps you can make for :

🛍️ Keep and reuse carrier bags instead of picking up new ones with every shop.
💧 Carry a refillable water bottle instead of buying single-use plastic bottles.
🥪 Store food in reusable containers rather than using cling film or disposable packaging.
☕ Bring a reusable cup when buying hot drinks instead of taking a disposable one.
