Open to all from 2pm-4pm at the cabin on Gray Street next to the train station this afternoon to reduce food waste.
Today's goodies include peppers, potatoes, mushroom, swede, onions (red and brown), lettuce, grapes, and a few oranges, lemons and pears.
In our freezer we have large cartons of whole milk, a selection of sandwiches, salads, chicken pieces and chopped onions, plus various breads, including a couple of garlic and mozzarella flatbreads.
For your store cupboard we have stuffing mix, salad cream and packets of seasoning mix.
If you are in the mood for a sweet treat we have lots of Yazoo milk shakes plus coconut and raspberry loaf cakes. Plus flowers.
Today's fresh soup thanks to The Ferry Selkie is sweet potato and we'll have bakes from The Kitchen Table Broughty Ferry from around 3:15pm.
We'll close at 4pm, but will open again just after 17:30 for surplus produce from Pret for around half an hour or until it's all gone.

Thanks to Aldi UK and Tesco for these donations. Plenty fruit and veg, bread, milk and sandwiches will be in the freezer. Flowers could be in your vase at home today! Open 10.30-12.30. Bring a bag for those potatoes…

Salads and sandwiches from Pret available now, for half an hour or until it's gone.

Come to Ferry Fridge from 2-4pm this afternoon where we have a good variety of food available completely free and open to all. We only ask that you only take what you will use and please bring your own bags.
Today we have oat and almond milk, plus natural kefir. Lots of potatoes, swede, leeks, parsnips, aubergine, plus packets of shredded spring greens in the freezer - ideal for stir-frys.
We have a lot of carrots that are a bit past their best, but can still be used in soups and stews or grated to add natural sweetness to sauces. Please do take some if you can use them, and we won't count them as one of your items.🥕🥕🥕🥕
There's apples, pears, peppers, oranges, and a couple of grapefruit.
Also in the freezer we have limited steak and chicken, as well as the usual bread and pastries, plus chocolate cruffins - a cross between croissants and muffins. 😋
On the shelves we have a selection of crisps, chocolate cake, lemon curd and more. Not forgetting flowers. 💐
Today's soup thanks to The Ferry Selkie is tomato and basil🍅🌱 and we'll be collecting surplus bakes from The Kitchen Table Broughty Ferry from around 3:15pm.
We'll open again from around 5:40pm for half an hour, or until everything has gone to redistribute the food collected from Pret.
