Open to all this afternoon from 2-4pm at Ferry Fridge we have a pink and purple theme with lots of red onions, grapes, swede and still some radishes. We still have crispy little gem lettuce, plus oranges, lemons, avocado and cauliflower. If you are not in the mood for peeling, pick up one of our trays of Albert Bartlett mash from the fridge (use by 30th August).
We've a good amount of dairy with natural yoghurt (Use by 2nd September), mozzarella (use by 31st August), parmesan and coconut milk (best before 21st October).
We have eggs on the shelf, and cartons of milk in the freezer, along with the usual bread, plus sandwiches, preprepared fruit for smoothies. Is it too soon for a crumble?🤔
For your store cupboard we have cartons of chickpeas, crushed tomatoes, baked beans, tins of soup, sauces, squeezy honey, pot noodles, coffee beans. Snacks and sweet treats include mixed nuts, protein bars, crisps, and pancakes.
Be sure to take some fresh herbs too. We've got coriander, mint, parsley and bay. We've even got a couple of packets of seeds so you can grow your own.
Today's fresh soup thanks to The Ferry Selkie is mixed vegetable. The Kitchen Table Broughty Ferry are taking a well earned break this week.
We'll close at 4pm, then open again just after 5:30pm with surplus produce from Pret. We'll stay open for around half an hour or until everything has gone.
We're all about reducing food waste, so ask that you only take what you will use - and please bring your own bags.
