We are so excited to be part of the Dundee Play Festival and will be hosting two sessions on Friday 12th June.

The sessions are free to attend and lots of fun. We will be exploring different foods, doing some food based art and for the brave trying some food taste test challenges!

We're delighted to see our wonderful volunteer Ann featured in The Courier's Local Hero section!

After a career in teaching, Ann now brings her time, energy, and compassion to The Roundhouse Community Kitchen, helping transform surplus food into nutritious meals for people across Dundee.

From the classroom to the community kitchen, Ann is making a real difference — reducing food waste, supporting local people, and showing the incredible impact volunteers can have.

🚶‍♀️ Join the Roundhouse Rescuers for the Kiltwalk 2026 🚶‍♂️

This August, every mile can make a real difference.

For every mile walked, The Roundhouse Community Kitchen will produce 10 meals — transforming surplus food that would otherwise go to waste into nutritious meals for people in our community.

By taking part, you’ll be helping us rescue food, reduce waste, and support local families across Dundee.

Whether you want to:

Our brand new group of mini chefs have arrived!

Today we learned - chopping and grating skills, found out all about the different food groups and had a story all about tomatoes!

We made tasty quesadillas and a few of the chefs had to give their delicious creations a try before leaving.

Thank you to National Literacy Trust in Dundee for helping deliver this session!

🍵 It was a busy afternoon at the The Roundhouse yesterday!

Did you know about our Community Fridge?

🛒 It's a simple idea. Food banks and supermarkets across Dundee donate us their excess stock that would otherwise be thrown away, and we give it out to the community.

🌍 For a donation of just £2, you can grab some groceries, save food from landfill, and support Signpost International's campaign to eradicate hunger in rural Uganda.
