👏 We welcomed back Mark from the Fair Play Foundation yesterday to deliver Colour of Our Scarves, an anti-discrimination and education programme, to our Sport and Fitness students.

The workshops encouraged students to challenge unacceptable behaviour and help create a welcoming and inclusive environment in sport. 🤝

A big thank you to Mark for supporting our students’ learning!

It was great to welcome former student Marie Nicol back to Dumfries and Galloway College this week for a Q&A with our HND Fitness, Health and Exercise students.

Marie shared her journey from College to running her own well-established gym, QFitness, and personal training business. Our students enjoyed hearing about her experience and had the chance to ask questions about building a career in the fitness industry.

Thank you, Marie, for taking the time to visit! 💪

A big thank you to Connor, our D&G College Active Campus coordinator who kindly joined our Level 6 class this morning to give them an introduction to pickleball!

A great opportunity for our students to develop their knowledge and experience of a sport that is becoming increasingly popular through Active Campus.

A big thank you to Farrel O’Sullivan from PER4M Strength & Conditioning for speaking to our HND students about his business and giving them an insight into the industry.

Farrel also demonstrated how he uses force plates to profile his clients and support their performance. A really interesting and valuable session for our students! 💪📊
