🌿 Can you spare some time to help keep Brockholes Lane looking its best? 🌿

A big thank you again to everyone who volunteered their time and effort on the Brockholes Lane project — it’s made a fantastic difference to the area.

With the growing season now in full swing, the planting areas need a little extra care and attention, including weeding and general maintenance. Steve has been working hard to keep everything on track, but after the time dedicated to completing the project, there are a number of other jobs that have built up and it’s becoming difficult to keep on top of all areas.

We’re asking if any of the Brockholes Lane project volunteers (or anyone else who would like to lend a hand) would be willing to help with some weeding and ongoing maintenance. We’ve already had a generous offer of help for a Wednesday.

Dog Owners Urged to Pick Up After Their Pets, After Legal Order Extended

Local dog owners are being reminded of the rules they need to adhere to, following the renewal of an order that sets out their responsibilities.

Doncaster has a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) that makes clear what people in charge of dogs should and should not do. Among other things, it specifies where leads must be worn in the city and outlines which places pets cannot be taken for safety reasons. Furthermore, the order also stipulates that the person in charge of a dog must remove its faeces straight away if it makes a mess anywhere in public.

If a dog owner is caught breaching any of the rules enforced by this order, then they could be hit with a fine of up to £100. Over the past three years alone, the council has issued 324 of these fixed penalty notices.
