Walk, talk, make and grow…..sharing our love of nature together. The Denaby Wellbean Social Garden is "A Great Escape for all". "We welcome you all" 😃

We run weekly wild plant clubs and grow your own sessions as well as numerous nature-based workshops including natural dyeing, natural toiletries and art. A place to share with everyone, all disabilities, all ages, a place to make new friendships, an outdoor green space that encapsulates anything & everything to do with promoting & enhancing both physical & mental wellbeing for anyone within our community.

Playing with plants, hanging out our hawthorn dyed fabric to dry, collecting bindweed string and making natural colour books at the allotment last night. Never a dull day ❤️

We are so pleased and excited to say that we now have over a thousand followers on our Plantaura page so huge thanks to each and every one of you who see, share and like what we do! We are so proud to have grown a special community of wonderful people who love nature, growing, friendships, crafting, outdoors, plants, foraging and so much more... and that includes you ❤️ We have had an amazing three years since we set up Plantaura CIC and it just keeps getting better and better...we have just found out that we have been successful with another funding bid and also been nominated for a community wellbeing award. We wouldn't be where we are without the support of you guys so thank you ❤️

Chestnuts were on the menu at wild plant club today...we made a delicious wholesome and filling soup with the ones we foraged in edlington woods last week and learnt that their leaves contain a compound that has just been scientifically proven to fight MRSA! We also made woven flower moons complete with mini pine needle dangling broomsticks just in time for halloween ❤️

Another beautiful sunny day for colour club...we made two different hawthorn dye vats, one from the leaves and one from the berries to make our bunting and swatches with. The theme this week was kitchen scraps so we made three dye vats with carrots, beetroot and onion skins in and then made tie-die tote bags and flower eggs using the colours from those. We also made separate ink pots using avocado pits, red cabbage, tea, coffee, turmeric, pomegranate, parsley and carrot leaves and then made watercolour art works and ink swatches with them. A busy dsy of experimenting ❤️

Next month we start our New Green Woodworking club with the South Yorkshire green woodworkers! We only have 8 spaces! So please message if you would like to book on.

What a wonderful evening at the wellbean, we were so lucky to have Ewa from culinarycookingclub CIC host her pizza making workshop in the polytunnel and we each got to make our own individually crafted pizza using her freshly made dough and toppings cooked in the pizza oven.....absolutely delicious. Louise and Shaun from carr house community allotment hyde park joined us to collaborate on some ideas, plus Angela picked up a donated singer sewing machine from a lovely lady Julia which we will use on fsbrics from our natural dye workshops ❤️
