Tis me and my trusty litterpicker attempting to keep my neighbourhood clean and tidy....pity I picked two bags worth of crap up in just a short stroll from my house. Nature gives me so much it feels food to give something back where I can ❤️

Before and after….in a litterpicking mood today ❤️ I’ve been moaning about the state of my street for the last week or so decided to do it today and 2 others near me resulting in 8 bags of crap removed. Found a hoodie that some absolute scrub had wiped their bum on and covered their poo with, delightful!

A quick litterpick in Sandall beat woods this morning picking up other peoples crap including a Greggs coffee cup….. “I think I’ll have a coffee on my morning walk and then lob it in the bushes cos I can’t be arsed to find a bin or take it home with me”🙃 I’ll never understand the mentality of going for a walk somewhere beautiful and then making it look horrible by leaving rubbish laying about. I prefer the mindset of making somewhere look better than you found it 🤷‍♀️

Before and after…..so sad that I picked 2 full bags worth of litter in just a short 2 minute walk from my house and I only did it a few weeks ago. Good deed for the day and my neighbourhood done ❤️

Hi everyone, I also run a foraging page talking about local edible and medicinal wild plants that you can find for free and what to do with them if anyone would like to join. Thanks ❤️

Before and after……80 bags of rubbish and a huge pile of hard plastics, prams, oil drums and other random bits gone from Dodds Quarry in Balby by 3 people in 3 hours…..plus Kad for a bit! Thanks so much Jen and Steve for all your hard work today, what a difference we can make when we put our minds to it…..this has been bugging me for months as it’s such a beautiful space for nature and now it can almost finally breathe again…..still more to do! ❤️

Just to remind anyone who wants to come and help clean Dodds Quarry, Balby that it’s this Saturday at 10am, meeting on Cedar Road at the pathway entrance between the bungalows as shown on the map. Wear jeans/ heavy duty footwear and gloves please as there’s lots of brambles! I will be bringing spare gloves and secateurs. Thanks ❤️

So this is Dodds Quarry in Balby, a lovely little hidden gem of nature. Unfortunately some people have been using it as a rubbish dump for a while; i’m not blaming the people who live at the top as this could be from a while ago but it’s obviously been thrown down from there. It’s so sad to see our green spaces being treated like this, especially when they are getting less and less! So who’s up for giving this space a helping hand, you will need gloves and boots for sure as there are a lot of brambles and some old jeans or tough fabric bottoms ❤️ Saturday 18th April at 10am-1pm, come for as long as you like. It is accessible down an alley just off cedar road in balby ❤️I’ll put the location in the comments 😊
