Congratulations to former pupil Joshua Bergomi (Class of 2021), who has graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First Class Masters degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
Joshua has now taken the next step in his career, joining AECOM in Chesterfield as a Graduate Bridge Structural Engineer. A great achievement and an exciting opportunity to put his skills and knowledge into practice.
We wish Joshua all the best in his new role and look forward to following his career.

Former pupil Lexie Martin (Class of 2025) is preparing to take on a significant challenge; climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain and the world’s largest free-standing mountain.

Climbing Kilimanjaro has long been a goal of Lexie’s, and she is using the challenge to raise funds and awareness for the Meningitis Research Foundation. The charity funds research, raises awareness and supports people and families affected by meningitis, with young people and students an important focus of its work.

We wish Lexie and her team every success with their preparations, fundraising and the climb itself.

Founder’s Day is back on Sunday 6 September, and we’d love to see former pupils back on the pitch as part of our Alumni Rugby and Hockey teams.
Whether you played every week or haven’t picked up a stick or rugby ball in years, all alumni players are welcome. It’s about reconnecting with old teammates, enjoying a friendly bit of competition and being part of a great Founder’s Day tradition.

Yesterday’s Speech Day brought our school community together once again for a wonderful celebration. Despite the soaring temperatures, it was a pleasure to see so many pupils, families, staff, governors and friends of the school joining us to mark the occasion.
One of the greatest joys of Speech Day is welcoming back former pupils. It is always a pleasure to see our alumni return, reconnect with old friends and teachers, and celebrate alongside our current pupils. Their presence is a reminder that the friendships and sense of community built here endure long after school days are over.
I managed to gather a few of our returning alumni for these photographs, although there were many more whom I didn't manage to catch before they disappeared into conversations and reunions! Thank you to every former pupil who came back to share the day with us and thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Speech Day such a special occasion.
