Armthorpe Parish Council warmly invites residents to join us on Sunday 6th September as we come together to remember and honour those who lost their lives in service at Markham Main Colliery.

This annual memorial is an important moment for our community to reflect, pay tribute, and ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

City of Doncaster Council has received funding from the UK Government to administer the funding which aims to support low-income households who encounter a sudden, unexpected expense or financial shock, or an unexpected drop in income, or are at risk of entering crisis - a situation where immediate help is required to prevent harm or serious negative outcomes.

Crisis payments are intended to meet one-off or short-term needs and cannot be used as an alternative source of regular income.

New class alert!

From September 14th I will be hosting a 50-minute mat Pilates class at Armthorpe Community Centre! This will be weekly, every Monday at 7pm 🤍

The class will be beginner friendly, layered to suit all levels. I will provide all equipment, so just bring your lovely self!

The passing of world megastar Dolly Parton has touched people everywhere. Many in our country and , we’re sure, many in our village are saddened by her death.
Dolly brought joy to many, writing and performing some of the greatest songs of the past few decades, songs that mean a lot to us, she was a canny and shrewd business woman and had tremendous strength of will.
From a poor background herself she worked ceaselessly to improve the lives of those less fortunate.
Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends and all those, throughout the world, who grieve for her.
Rest in peace Dolly.

What a legend... Ron has been a huge part of the clubs success, clocking up over 50 years as club treasurer and now a valued member of the committee. Ron remains dedicated and excited for the clubs future, and we are so lucky to have him on board with us. From everybody at the welfare Ron, Thankyou 💙
