🚑 Back on the road and supporting another fantastic event! 💚

This week, our volunteers have been in Ballycastle providing medical cover for the Auld Lammas Fair.

Our team deployed 2 Emergency Ambulances, 1 Rapid Response Vehicle and Emergency Responders (ERs) across the event, helping to ensure medical assistance was available for visitors, traders and everyone enjoying one of the country’s best-known traditional fairs. 🚑⛑️

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who gave up their time to support the event. From our ambulance crews to our Emergency Responders and everyone working behind the scenes, it takes a real team effort to provide this level of cover. 👏💚

Want to be part of the team? 👀

We’re always looking for new volunteers to join us. Whether you’re completely new to first aid or already have experience, we’ll provide the training and support you need.

🚑 Want to be part of something that makes a difference? 💚

At St John Ambulance Foyle, our volunteers are out across the country providing first aid and emergency ambulance cover at events, responding when people need us and supporting our local communities.

You don’t need to be a healthcare professional or have years of experience to join us. We provide the training and support you need, starting with first aid and giving you the opportunity to progress into ambulance-level training when you’re ready.

Whether you’re interested in emergency response, first aid, event medical cover, meeting new people or simply giving something back to your community, there’s a place for you in our team. 👏

🚨 We’re also looking to hear from healthcare professionals! 🚨

If you’re a nurse, paramedic, doctor or other registered healthcare professional looking for flexible work alongside your existing commitments, we have opportunities available with competitive hourly rates. Whether you want to pick up occasional shifts or work more regularly, we’d love to hear from you.

Two different ways to get involved. One fantastic team. 💚

🚑 Wow, wow, wow, what a week! 💚

There’s busy, and then there’s whatever our volunteers have been up to this week. We have taken it to another level yet again! 😅

From Foyle to Ballymena, Cushendall, Belfast and everywhere in between, our teams have been out and about providing first aid and medical cover across an incredibly busy week of events.

Our volunteers have been supporting the Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, Heart of the Glens Festival, Ulster Rally and the Apprentice Boys of Derry events, with crews travelling across the province to make sure medical support was available wherever it was needed.

Safe to say, there have been plenty of miles covered, plenty of radios going off and probably more than a few cups of coffee along the way! ☕😂

A massive thank you to every single volunteer who gave up their time this week. Whether you were on an ambulance, providing first aid, supporting operations or helping behind the scenes, your commitment has allowed us to support thousands of people across the country.

And if seeing our crews out and about has ever made you think “I wouldn’t mind giving that a go…” — why not? 👀💚

We’re always looking for new volunteers to join the team. You don’t need to be a medical expert to get started — we provide the training and support you need to become part of something that genuinely makes a difference in your community.

For now, though… we think our volunteers have earned a well-deserved rest! 😴🚑

Another busy week done. Plenty more to come. 💚

🚑 Another busy week for our volunteers at St John Ambulance Foyle! 💚

Last weekend, our volunteers were on duty providing medical cover at the Armoy Road Races, helping to keep competitors, officials and spectators safe throughout the event.

This week, our teams are back out across the North West supporting the NI SuperCup, with matches taking place across multiple venues, our volunteers are once again giving up their time to provide first aid and emergency ambulance cover, ensuring players, coaches and supporters can enjoy the tournament safely.

A huge thank you goes to every member of our team who continues to volunteer their time, skills and commitment.

Thinking about volunteering? 💚

Every event we support is made possible by volunteers. If you’ve ever considered making a difference in your local community, we’d love to hear from you. No matter your background or experience, there’s a place for you in our team, with training and support provided every step of the way.

👏 Good luck to everyone taking part in the NI SuperCup this week—we’re proud to be supporting another fantastic event across the North West.

🚑💚 This is how we do it! 💚🚑

Over the past two weeks, we’ve supported:

- Hard as Oak
- Armed Forces Day – Coleraine
- Zach Bryan - Belfast
- Foyle Maritime Festival

Whether it was sporting events, community celebrations or large-scale concerts and festivals, our volunteers were on hand to provide professional first aid and medical support whenever it was needed.

❤️⚡ Check Your Defib Week ⚡❤️

As part of Check Your Defib Week, volunteers from St John Ambulance Foyle have been out and about across the city checking the locations of publicly accessible defibrillators and helping to raise awareness of their importance.

In a cardiac arrest, every second counts. Knowing where your nearest defibrillator is, and how to access it, could help save a life.

Many defibrillators are located in public places and are designed to be used by anyone, regardless of medical training. The device provides clear instructions and will guide you through the process if it is ever needed.

Take a few moments this week to find out where your nearest defibrillator is—you never know when that knowledge could make all the difference.
