Support and rehabilitation services for people with brain injury, their families and carers

As an organisation we work closely with professionals from the NHS Head Injury Team based at Florence Nightingale Hospital, GP’s, Adult Social Care and Derby City Council, as well as with individuals and families. Our professional and experienced team are always on hand to offer advice and non-clinical rehabilitation and development to help improve life after brain injury. We aim to provide practical development services to help local people come to terms with life after brain injury. This support extends to a variety of social and developmental activities and training for those who want to know more about brain injury and its affects. We are affiliated to, but separate from the national brain injury association - Headway UK.

🧠PROJECT 90 UPDATE

With our 90km relay challenge now just around the corner, we'd like to invite everyone involved to a final Project 90 meeting to go through the plans, answer any questions, and make sure everyone knows what to expect on the day.

Meet Claire, one of our amazing London Marathon runners! 🏃‍♀️💙

Claire never saw herself as a runner and once believed persistent back pain would stop her from ever taking on a challenge like this. Now, despite being "petrified" by the distance, she's training for the 2027 London Marathon and raising funds for Headway Derby every step of the way.

As an Occupational Therapist, Claire has seen first-hand the incredible difference Headway Derby makes to people living with acquired brain injuries. That's what keeps Claire motivated through every training run and every mile ahead.
