The Special Status of Death in Madinah
The Prophet Muhammad {PBUH} encouraged his followers to strive to live and die in Madinah. He said:

"Whoever among you can die in Madinah, let him do so, for I will intercede for those who die there." (Narrated in Tirmidhi)

This Hadith conveys the profound honor and blessing associated with passing away in this sacred city. It is a source of great comfort and aspiration for many Muslims,

"O Allah, grant us the provision of visiting Your Illuminated City (Madinah) soon, and not delayed. O Allah, make us successful in performing deeds that please You, and cause us to die in the City of Your Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and make us among those who attain his intercession on the Day of Resurrection, by Your Mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy."
