☕🚂 Looking for experience, new skills, or a way to give back to your community? Look no further... 🚂☕

We're looking for volunteers to join the 5 ⭐ team at the Crewe Canteen here at Crewe Heritage Centre.

Whether you're a student building your CV, someone looking to gain workplace experience, or simply enjoy meeting people and being part of a friendly team, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Cafe Volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to:
✅ Gain valuable customer service experience
✅ Receive Food Safety training funded by us
✅ Build confidence and develop transferable workplace skills
✅ Meet new people and make lasting friendships
✅ Become part of a local charity preserving Crewe's heritage

No previous experience is needed. Full training and support will be provided.

For many of our volunteers, this role is a chance to gain practical experience, strengthen a CV, learn new skills, socialise and be part of something they're passionate about.

🌟 Sunday Trustee Spotlight… Introducing Katey 🌟

Hello! I’m Katey, a Crewe Heritage Centre Trustee and I support the staff and volunteers with collections management. I love visiting the centre and as the site is so large, there’s always new things to see.

I really like stepping back in time to the 1980s and walking through the APT (Advanced Passenger Train). The one at the Heritage Centre is a prototype and was moved to Crewe in 1988, two years after APTs were withdrawn from service. I love the tartan seats in first class, which are very comfortable to sit on. Our APT got new lick of paint this year, so is looking very smart. Do come down and have a look!
