What. A. Season.

As the gates close on our 2026 season, we’d like to say one huge... 👋 THANK YOU 👋

To every visitor, volunteer, supporter, member, donor, partner and friend who has joined us this year.

Together, you’ve helped make 2026 our busiest season yet, with over 20,000 visitors coming through our doors to explore the stories, trains, events and experiences that make Crewe Heritage Centre so special.

From family days out and school visits to special events, exhibitions, miniature railway rides and countless cups of tea in Crewe Canteen, it’s been a season we’ll never forget.

This video features just some of the incredible volunteers and staff who make everything possible. They’re waving goodbye for now, but also saying thank you for being part of such a fantastic year. We’ll be busy behind the scenes over the winter, and we look forward to welcoming you all back in 2027.

🚄 SPECIAL APT TILT EXPERIENCE THIS SATURDAY! 🚄

Ever wondered what it felt like to travel on Britain's revolutionary tilting train?

This Saturday (31st October), we're bringing our APT (Advanced Passenger Train) to life with a rare live tilt demonstration!

🕚 Demonstrations on the hour, every hour: • 11:00am • 12:00pm • 1:00pm • 2:00pm • 3:00pm

🎟️ £2 per person to step inside and experience the APT tilting for yourself.

Please note: This £2 charge is in addition to normal museum admission.

This is not something we do regularly, so don't miss this unique opportunity to experience one of the APT's most famous features first-hand!
