Are you passionate about writing and looking to gain real-world experience in communications?

We’re looking for a Volunteer Content Writer (18+) to join our team at CVS Cheshire East.

This exciting role will give you the chance to get out and about at events and conferences, speaking to people, gathering stories and turning conversations into engaging articles and features.

You could be:
📝 Writing blogs, articles and event highlights
💬 Chatting to community groups, speakers and attendees
📖 Capturing stories of local impact
✨ Developing your writing style with support from our communications team

It’s a fantastic opportunity to build your portfolio, develop your confidence and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

That’s why one of the key focuses in our upcoming Advanced Social Media Training: Strategy, Planning & Analytics is understanding how to use analytics in a practical and meaningful way.

During the session, we’ll explore how to:
• Focus on the metrics that matter most
• Understand what content is working and why
• Adjust your social media approach with more confidence

This volunteer's week, we want to shine a light on some amazing volunteer stories we have from East Cheshire NHS Trust.

Nigel, a Pets As Therapy volunteer, has been volunteering for over 3 years now. Nigel would highly recommend volunteering due to the sense of camaraderie between the volunteers, all of whom are very friendly.

Rob, an A&E volunteer, finds it important to have some structure to the week and enjoys feeling that he's being helpful. Rob also recommends volunteering and has recruited two friends to do the same work, and they enjoy it as well.
