🍎 Could Healthy Start help your family?

If you're pregnant or have a little one under 4, the NHS Healthy Start scheme could help with the cost of healthy food and milk, and lots of families who qualify don't realise they're eligible.

You may be able to apply if you're more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, and you receive certain benefits (like Universal Credit). If you're under 18 and more than 10 weeks pregnant, you can apply even if you're not on benefits.

You'll get a prepaid card, topped up every 4 weeks, to spend on:
πŸ₯› Milk and infant formula
🍏 Fruit and vegetables
🫘 Pulses
Plus free Healthy Start vitamins. Payments are currently up to Β£9.30 a week for babies under one. πŸ’›

Not sure if you qualify or how to apply? Pop in and ask a member of staff next time you're at the Hub, we're always happy to talk it through and help you get started.

πŸ’› Don't miss out on Healthy Start
Every year, families miss out on Healthy Start support simply because they don't know they're eligible. If you're pregnant or caring for a child under 4, it could be money that helps with your weekly food shop.

The quick version:
βœ… More than 10 weeks pregnant, or have a child under 4
βœ… Receiving qualifying benefits (and if you're under 18 and pregnant, you may qualify even without benefits)
βœ… Get a prepaid card topped up every 4 weeks for milk, formula, fruit, veg and pulses β€” plus free vitamins

Applying online takes as little as 5 minutes at www.healthystart.nhs.uk, or you can call 0300 330 7010.

And if you'd like a hand, or just want to know more, come and have a chat with a member of staff when you next visit the Hub, we're here to help. ☺️
