Help us shape the future of Post-19 provision

Two Rhythms is exploring a new programme for young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

For some young people, leaving school or college can bring a significant reduction in structured learning, social contact and opportunities to communicate, make choices and participate.

We want to understand whether that is happening locally and what good Post-19 provision should look like.

The National Lottery Community Fund has asked us to gather up to 100 responses from parents, carers and organisations before we submit our People and Places proposal.

If you are a parent or carer, we want to hear what matters most to the person you support.

If you work in education, health, social care or the voluntary sector, we want to hear what gaps you see and what provision is needed.

The surveys are short, but your answers will directly shape the programme.

Two Rhythms is exploring a specialist Post-19 Learning, Communication and Participation Programme for young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

The programme would provide continued opportunities for communication, learning, creative expression, social connection and community participation after school or college.

We are consulting organisations and professionals, as well as carers and Guardians to understand local need, identify gaps, shape the delivery model and establish potential referral and partnership arrangements.

Here's a little throwback post to around this time last year, where we were invited to a local Welsh sausage and c***r festival, and were the festivals chosen charity to receive funding from the event itself 😃

At Two Rhythms we believe no one tells our story better than the guests we work with. They each have a wonderful and unique story to tell through movement, expression and sound. With that in mind we are launching an ambassadors programme which recognises some of our guests and their achievements and to give them a platform to be recognised. If you are a parent or carer who brings a guest to one of our sessions please consider nominating them to be a part of this exciting programme and to have more opportunities to engage with the public and to represent Two Rhythms.
