Last year, Great Western Hearts taught lifesaving skills to over 10,000 people 💙💚

That includes nearly 9,000 people learning CPR and how to use a defibrillator. These are the skills that can save a life before our crew even arrive.

Because in a cardiac arrest, those first few minutes matter most.

Spring is the busiest time of the year for our crew, with March typically our busiest month on average.

With more daylight and better weather, we're able to respond to more call-outs by helicopter. Last week alone, we flew to critically ill or injured patients 18 times. 🚁

Our Critical Care Team respond to six people a day on average.

We're called to the most serious 999 calls in our region, providing emergency care to people who are in a state so critical that they require the specialist skills of our team at the scene of the accident or medical incident. 🚁
