Carers Resource - Proud to be a Carer Campaign

Carers in Bradford are being invited to help shape three new short films about what it really means to be an Unpaid Carer.
With the support of Bradford Council, we are inviting people across the Bradford area to share their experiences of caring as part of a new campaign which aims to make caring more visible, better understood and easier to talk about.
We are developing three professionally produced short films which will explore different caring situations and the many different experiences of looking after someone. The films will form part of a wider Proud to be a Carer campaign, which will launch in Bradford in 2027.
But before the cameras start rolling, we want to hear from people who have experience of unpaid caring. Whatever your experience, where you are from or what language you speak – we want to hear from you.
Get involved
If you would like to share your experience, help shape the films or find out about opportunities to be involved in the filming, we would love to hear from you. There may also be opportunities for people who get involved to take part in the filming itself. This could include contributing to the development of a story, sharing your experiences or potentially appearing in one of the films, depending on the final approach and what feels right for each person. You don’t have to appear on camera to get involved.
To start the process there will be two workshops on Monday 2 and Monday 9 November, 10am-3pm, at our Shipley office. Lunch and refreshements are provided.
