Congratulations to Anil, who is one of our key supervisors at JTI Community Fridge, on climbing Mount Snowdon in aid of raising money for Fareshare.

He volunteers across various organisations across Bradford and has been instrumental in developing the project here at the community fridge.

Our aim at JTI Community Fridge is to make the facility accessible as much as possible and we are extremely thankful to our volunteers and supervisors who make this happen.

This afternoon, a couple of brothers have installed a handrail besides the stairs leading down into the Community Fridge.

Abid was called up at the last minute today to step in as a supervisor and what an excellent job he did! He rallied his family and friends to volunteer and they served 31 users with a warm smile.

A huge thank you to volunteers Ali, Raiyaan and Zulekha, who went above and beyond in their efforts.

A sterling effort by all. Supervisors like Abid make the difference!

We love it when Tesco reach out to us! This morning, they’ve donated crisps so users can enjoy a snack. Thank you to Samera, who is the community champion.

An incredible donation from Sohail, Awais and their family and friends. They’ve also donated water in the memory of Imam Husayn, the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, peace and blessings be upon him.

Not only is Sohail is super donator, he is also a key supervisor at the fridge. He has helped to move the work forward by leaps and bounds.

It’s donations like this that keep the fridge open.

It was just like we’d never closed at all! Today’s ‘Young People’s Day’ was led by Ruqayya, Sabah and Khadija, who served 42 users. Every interaction was delivered with a warm smile, and everyone we supported was incredibly thankful to find us open and running again.

We are back open tomorrow at our usual time of 11am to 1pm. Spread the word with anyone who may benefit from the service. No referral needed and open to all. Our address is 69 Southfield Square, BD8 7SN and we are opposite Grosvenor Park.

Every act of kindness you do brings joy and comfort in someone else’s life. Be that person to bring joy and comfort. This Sunday, we relaunch the community fridge with the aim of illuminating the words of the Prophet of Islam, peace and blessings be upon him, ‘Spread peace and feed people’.

A man has once again donated watering cans to a Bradford cemetery.
