SAVE THE DATE: The Marie Curie Yorkshire Lights to Remember Service will take place at Bradford Grammar School on Monday the 7th of December this year.

Please join us to remember and give thanks for loved ones who have died. There will be performances, readings, music and the lighting of candles to remember.
Arrival at the venue is from 6pm. The event programme will commence from 6.30pm and will run through to 7.30pm. Refreshments will be served after until 8.00pm.

This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend but booking is required so please email [email protected] if you would like to attend.
We hope to see you there for this special event. 💛

The Marie Curie Ripon Fundraising Group is looking for new volunteers to join our friendly team!
There are lots of ways to get involved, including: 💛 Placing collection tins in local shops and businesses
💛 Helping to plan events that interest you
💛 Supporting fundraising activities in the community
💛 Meeting like-minded people and making a real difference locally
Every penny raised helps Marie Curie provide vital hospice care, nursing care at home, the Support Line, and so many other essential services for people living with terminal illness and their families.
Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we'd love to welcome you to the group.

🌟 What’s on the mind of the Wensleydale Marie Curie Fundraising Group? 🌟

Only the amazing amount raised at the West Witton Feast Fun Day for Marie Curie!

Thanks to your incredible support of our Tombola, we raised a fantastic £179 in just a few hours. 🎉

That amazing total could help fund almost 8 hours of care from a Marie Curie Nurse for someone living with a terminal illness and their family when they need it most. 💛

What a fabulous result!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, bought tickets and supported us on the day. We couldn't do it without you.

💙 Our Wensleydale Marie Curie Fundraising Group is growing all the time, and we'd love to welcome new members. We are so excited about our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 21st November from 1pm to 4pm at the Bradford Marie Curie Hospice🎄

We are as busy as elves getting everything ready, but we need your help to make it extra special ✨🎄✨

We’re currently looking for donations of:
🎁Prizes for our games and raffles. Chocolates, bottles, gift sets, cuddly toys, books, vouchers, festive treats, or anything that would make a lovely prize
🧸Children’s toys / teddies / gifts for presents for Santa’s Grotto
🍾Bottle bags
🌟Christmas decorations

We’re looking for a choir or singing group who might be willing to donate their time and come along to our hospice outpatient drop-in sessions over the Christmas period.
Our outpatient service is open 10:30am–1:00pm for patients, carers and people who have been bereaved. We’ll have a range of lovely activities taking place throughout the mornings, and we’d love to add some festive music and singing to help create a warm, joyful atmosphere. ✨
We’re looking for a choir who may be able to come along on one or more of the following dates:
📅 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st December
Whether you’re able to join us for one day or several days, we’d be incredibly grateful for any time you can spare. ❤️
🎤 We’re hoping to find a group who would be happy to donate their time and perform for us free of charge.
If you’re part of a choir, know of one who might be interested, or could share this post with anyone who may be able to help, we’d really appreciate it.

✨ Making space for mental health, one conversation at a time. ✨

For , our Patient and Family Support Team hosted a special drop-in session in the sanctuary. It was a warm, welcoming space where patients, staff, and visitors all came together to share a cup of tea, enjoy some cake, and talk openly about mental health, feelings, and emotions. ☕️🍰

We also got creative! Everyone helped create collages as a visual way to express the wide range of emotions we all experience. 🎨❤️

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared their story, or simply took a moment to check in. Remember, you are never alone, and your feelings matter.

We’d like to say a very special thank you to Kirsty DiFiori, Morrisons Community Champion, and the team at Morrisons for their fantastic support of our Marie Curie Outpatient Unit. 💛
Kirsty kindly sourced 15 pumpkins, along with some wonderful goodies, to support our groups and activities. 🍂🎃
Your generosity and continued support make such a difference to the people who access our services, helping us to create welcoming, enjoyable activities and experiences throughout the year.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our local community and businesses like Morrisons who help us make a real difference. 💛
