Say “I love you for the sake of Allah” and mean it. 🤍

Brother Qais reminds us that loving for the sake of Allah is rare, and he asks us to look at our friendships honestly. Why are you friends with them? For their money, their status, their family, or the discount at their shop?

If they couldn’t benefit you in the dunya, would you still be friends with them?

Build your companionships on what pleases Allah, not on what displeases Him.

The Prophet ﷺ said that among the seven whom Allah will shade on the Day of Judgment are “two men who love each other for the sake of Allah, meeting and parting upon that.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)

Allah says:
الْأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ
“Close friends, on that Day, will be enemies to each other, except the righteous.” (Az-Zukhruf 43:67)

Tag the friend you love for Allah’s sake 🫶 and make dua for them. 🤲

Death is certain. The only uncertainty is when our turn will come.

We spend years preparing for careers, homes, marriages, savings and the future — yet the journey that begins the moment we leave this world is often the one we prepare for the least.

The Prophet ﷺ reminded us that after death comes a reality no wealth, status or reputation can protect us from. The grave is the beginning of the journey of the Hereafter, and a person will be questioned about their Lord, their religion and their Prophet ﷺ.

But preparation is not simply memorising the answers.

It is living them.

To know that Allah is your Lord means worshipping Him alone.
To know that Islam is your religion means submitting yourself to His guidance.
To know that Muhammad ﷺ is your Prophet means following his Sunnah.

The Prophet ﷺ also taught us to seek Allah’s protection from the punishment of the grave. Among the supplications he taught was seeking refuge from the punishment of Jahannam, the punishment of the grave, the trials of life and death, and the trial of the Dajjāl. — Sahih Muslim 588

And when a person dies, the things they spent their life collecting remain behind. The Prophet ﷺ said that three things follow the deceased: their family, wealth and deeds. Two return, while their deeds remain with them. — Sahih al-Bukhari 6514; Sahih Muslim 2960

So do not live with the assumption, “I still have time.”

Make tawbah while you can.
Guard your salah.
Seek forgiveness.
Give charity.
Repair what needs repairing.
Increase in righteous deeds.
And ask Allah constantly for a good ending.

The grave is not something to prepare for when we become old.

Preparation begins today.

May Allah grant us sincere repentance before death, firmness when we are questioned, protection from the punishment of the grave, and make our graves gardens from the gardens of Jannah. Āmīn.

Quran AND Sunnah. Not Quran, then Sunnah. 📖

Ustad Abu Massab explains why the Sunnah stands beside the Quran in authority. Allah says:

وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ

“And We sent down to you the Reminder so that you may make clear to the people what has been sent down to them.”

(An-Nahl 16:44)

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ ۝ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ

“Nor does he speak from his own desire. It is only a revelation revealed.”

(An-Najm 53:3-4)

The Prophet ﷺ explained the Quran through his words and actions, so following him is part of following the Book. The Sunnah only needs one extra step: verifying that a report is authentic.

Is your wudu wasting water? 💧

The tap is running while you roll your sleeves. It’s still running while you take off your socks. Sound familiar?

Shaykh Abu Suhaib reminds us that the water wasted in one careless wudu could be enough for someone else’s ghusl, and that we shouldn’t be extravagant even beside a river.

Allah says:

وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ

“Eat and drink, but do not be excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who are excessive.” (Al-A’raf 7:31)

And the Prophet ﷺ used to perform wudu with about a mudd of water (roughly a double handful). (Bukhari & Muslim)

Know Allah, worship Him alone, learn His Names and Attributes, and let your faith appear through sincere and consistent actions.

The 5 things every Shariah came to protect 🤍

Islam is not a list of random rules. Its laws exist to protect what a human being cannot live without:

1️⃣ Religion (Din)
2️⃣ Life (Nafs)
3️⃣ Intellect (‘Aql)
4️⃣ Wealth (Mal)
5️⃣ Lineage & Honor (Nasl & ‘Ird)

These are known as Maqasid ash-Shariah, the higher objectives of Islamic law. Following the Sunnah means holding on to all five. Leaving the path of the Prophet ﷺ puts them at risk.

Reflect: how do you protect these five in your own life?

The believer does not place changing human opinions above the revelation of Allah.

Science is valuable. Research is valuable. Human discovery is valuable.

But none of them are infallible.

What people consider certain today may be revised tomorrow. Our knowledge is limited, while Allah’s knowledge is perfect.

Allah ﷻ says:

“It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should thereafter have any choice about their affair.”
— Qur’an 33:36 

And the Prophet ﷺ warned against accepting the Qur’an while dismissing his Sunnah, saying:

“Indeed, I have been given the Qur’an and something like it along with it.”
— Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4604 

So when an authentic text appears difficult for us to understand, our response should not be arrogance:

“Science cannot explain this, therefore I reject it.”

Rather, we say:

Allah and His Messenger ﷺ know better. My understanding may be incomplete.

The clip gives the example of the authentic ḥadīth of the fly. The Prophet ﷺ said that if a fly falls into a drink, it should be immersed, mentioning disease on one wing and cure on the other. This narration is recorded in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3320. 

Our īmān is not built upon waiting for every generation of researchers to validate revelation.

We respect beneficial science, but our certainty in authentic revelation does not depend upon scientific approval.

When something seems contradictory, first ask:

Is the Islamic evidence actually authentic?
Have I understood it correctly?
Is the scientific claim truly established, or is it still interpretation or theory?

The problem may lie in our understanding — not in revelation.

May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge, firm certainty in His Book and the authentic Sunnah, and protect us from speaking about His Dīn without knowledge. Āmīn.

Having more money is not proof that Allah loves you.
Having less money is not proof that Allah has abandoned you.

Allah gives wealth to people He loves and to people He does not love. Wealth itself is a test, not a certificate of righteousness.

Allah ﷻ says:

“As for man, when his Lord tests him by giving him honour and blessings, he says, ‘My Lord has honoured me.’ But when He tests him by restricting his provision, he says, ‘My Lord has humiliated me.’”
— Qur’an 89:15–16 

So neither abundance nor restriction, by itself, tells you your rank with Allah.

A person may have very little and be among the most beloved servants of Allah.
Another may possess enormous wealth while being far from Him.

The real danger begins when the heart becomes attached to dunya — always chasing, always wanting more, never satisfied.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would wish for a third…”
— Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6436 

This is the nature of unchecked desire:

More.
Then more.
Then more again.

Until a person forgets what wealth was actually meant for.

Seek halal provision. Work hard. Build. Earn. Provide.

But never measure Allah’s love for you by the number in your bank account.

The question is not: “How much did Allah give me?”
The question is: “What did His blessings do to my heart?”

Did they make you grateful?
Generous?
Obedient?
Closer to Him?

May Allah place barakah in our rizq, protect us from greed and attachment to dunya, and make what He gives us a means of drawing nearer to Him. Āmīn.

We can complete every movement of Ṣalāh… yet still leave without our hearts ever truly arriving.

Allah describes the successful believers as:

“Certainly will the believers have succeeded: those who are humble in their prayer.”
— Qur’an 23:1–2

Khushūʿ is not simply lowering the head or slowing the body. It begins with a heart that realizes Who it is standing before.

When you say Allāhu Akbar, remember that Allah is greater than whatever was occupying your mind.

When you recite Al-Fātiḥah, understand what you are saying. It is not merely a passage to finish—the Prophet ﷺ taught that Allah responds to His servant as Al-Fātiḥah is recited.

And when you bow and prostrate, do not rush from one position to another. The Prophet ﷺ instructed the one who prayed incorrectly to remain tranquil in each posture.

Perhaps deeper Khushūʿ begins with three simple things:

Slow down.
Understand what you recite.
Remember that you are standing before Allah.

May Allah make our Ṣalāh the comfort of our hearts and grant us sincere Khushūʿ in every prayer. آمين.

Save this reminder before your next Ṣalāh. 🤍

You do not need to guide thousands. Imagine if Allah guides just one soul through you.

Daʿwah is not about winning arguments.
It is not about showing how much you know.
And it is not about speaking harshly in the name of defending the truth.

Allah ﷻ says:

“Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.”
— Qur’an 16:125 

The caller to Allah should sincerely want good for people — teaching with knowledge, patience, wisdom and rifq (gentleness).

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Kindness is not to be found in anything except that it beautifies it…”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2594a 

And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to ʿAlī رضي الله تعالى عنه:

“By Allah, if one man is guided through you, it would be better for you than red camels.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3701 

Perhaps you share one āyah.
Teach one authentic Sunnah.
Correct someone gently.
Speak to someone sincerely.

And Allah may place guidance in their heart because of it.

Make your intention sincere. Learn before you speak. Be gentle with the people. And leave the guidance of hearts to Allah.

May Allah make us callers to the truth upon knowledge and sincerity, and use us as a means of guidance without allowing pride to enter our hearts. Āmīn.
