Pride can bring joy, connection and celebration, but it can also bring fear, uncertainty and difficult feelings. We know that the world around us, from public debates to changes in guidance, can affect how safe and supported people feel.

This Pride, we’re here to remind you that you’re not alone, and if you're struggling we're here for you 💙

Thanks so much to Fight Through Mental Health for this beautiful illustration.

Hot weather reminder ⚠️

With more hot days ahead, please share this. Not everyone knows how medication can impact our body’s ability to keep cool.

Check the information leaflet on your medication for side effects and risks.

If you’re on antidepressants or antipsychotics your body may not regulate heat as well. If you take lithium, be sure to monitor your fluid levels and know the signs of lithium toxicity.

Try and stay cool in the heat by hydrating and finding shade.

If you have concerns, speak to a GP or pharmacist. They can advise you more on your own medication.

What a weekend for Andy! 💙

This past weekend, Andy took on the Born Survivor Challenge in support of Wirral Mind and absolutely smashed it! 💪

Battling through brutal obstacles, deep mud and demanding terrain, the course pushed participants to their limits from start to finish. But Andy faced every challenge with incredible determination, resilience and strength.

For Andy, this was about far more than completing a tough course. Every obstacle overcome and every muddy mile conquered was in support of people in our community facing mental health problems.

We’re incredibly grateful to Andy for taking on this challenge and supporting the work we do. Thanks to his efforts, he has already raised an amazing £585 to help us continue providing essential mental health support to those who need it most.

Thank you, Andy — we’re so proud of you! 👏

During Mental Health Awareness Week, the Wirral Mind Choir was honoured to attend and perform at Wirral Council’s Annual General Meeting at Wallasey Town Hall, where Cllr Mary Jordan was officially appointed as the new Mayor of Wirral.

We’d like to wish Cllr Jordan all the very best for the year ahead and thank her for supporting community organisations across the borough.

We are also incredibly proud of our choir for their fantastic performance at such a special event. A special mention goes to Angi, who leads our choir and proudly accepted a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the choir in recognition of their contribution. 💙🎶

A wonderful moment celebrating community, music and the positive impact they can have on mental wellbeing.

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Lesbophobia and Transphobia.

Being LGBTQIA+ is not a mental health problem.
And it does not cause mental health problems.
But discrimination does.

We all have a responsibility to stand against it.

You should never be treated differently for who you are, how you identify, or who you love.

If you have experienced homophobia, biphobia, lesbophobia or transphobia, take a look at some of the support on National Mind’s website. It includes information for each community within the LGBTQIA+ acronym.

Hannah is at Currys in Bromborough this morning representing Wirral Mind during Mental Health Awareness Week. 💙

Currys kindly invited us into store to host an information stand alongside their cake sale fundraiser in support of Wirral Mind. It’s been lovely to chat with staff and customers about mental health and wellbeing, share resources and raise awareness of the support available in the community.

A huge thank you to the team at Currys for their support and to everyone who has stopped by so far! 🍰✨
