β¨ League match result β¨
Our final game of the season ended in the best way possible, with a 0-0 second half which we were immensely proud about!ππ
This wasn't about the score, it was about gelling as a new squad - we've had 20 (TWENTY) new players this season - some playing their first ever game.
And we're keeping everyone in to next season which means so much to us.
This season has been about us finding who we are, our strengths, weaknesses and super powers!
We have had a great season, trying new things, new positions, new game plans and learning a lot.
We've also had a lot of amazing socials, nights out, nights in, day trips and back garden BBQs.
This team enjoy (possibly prefer) being together off the pitch, and that's what it's all about. π
π΄Top Back: Maggie - Came on at 9 for the second half and what a display. Fast to the ruck, passing like a BOSS, and coming out of her shell little by little we are seeing her grow in to a louder, prouder solid player. Even more points for making your Dad down your pint ππππ
π΄Top forward: Yas - to be honest, we could give Yas Fotm every bloody game she plays - solid, ho**er skillZz for days, wow wow wow. This girl is just a giant on the pitch (but nowhere else, she's tiny)!!π
π΄ Opposition poTM - Ellen - Solid kicking game and amazing coverage in full back position. Always aware, heads up rugby. Considering this was her first season playing rugby at all yous never ever guess! Solid all round and well deserved πππ
We are building something really special at Wirral - our numbers are improving, and we have all of our plans for pre-season in place already... Watch this space!!
Peace out ππ
