🇬🇷 Chris and the team brought a taste of Greece to the Vibrant Village today with a delicious homemade Greek Moussaka!

This healthier take on the classic dish featured lean beef mince, fat-free Greek yogurt, and low-salt beef stock. Layered with aubergine, butternut squash, and Mediterranean herbs including oregano and rosemary, it was packed with authentic flavour.

With the aroma of garlic and onions filling the air, the Vibrant Village felt just like a traditional Greek taverna!

Why not join Chris and the team as we continue our culinary adventure every Tuesday from 12pm–3pm at the Vibrant Village Livingroom?

🌧️🗑️ LITTER PICK SOCIAL 🗑️🌧️

The rain certainly didn't deter our community today as we headed out for another successful litter pick!

Our team made their way along Argyle Street, through Hamilton Square, and down the alleyway behind our Market Street Shop, collecting litter and helping to keep our local area looking its best.

One of the highlights of the day was being stopped several times by residents and passers-by who wanted to thank us for the work we were doing. These interactions remind us why community action matters and reinforce the positive impact we can have when we work together.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today and braved the weather to make a difference.

💚 Want to get involved?

Join us at the Vibrant Village next Monday at 1:30pm and help us make our streets sparkle!

Together, we can keep our community clean, welcoming, and vibrant. ✨

💤 Making Time to Talk About Sleep 💬

A number of organisations came together for an incredible session this morning exploring all things sleep!

A huge thank you to the fantastic teams from Make It Happen, One Wirral CIC, Koala North West, Involve Northwest and for joining us, and a special thank you to Abi and Em from Collective Encounters for facilitating such an insightful and thought-provoking discussion.

🔍 What We Explored

We went beyond the basics and took a deep dive into:

• The everyday challenges that can make getting a good night's sleep difficult
• The barriers that often stand in the way of quality rest
• Practical, realistic solutions that can help improve sleep habits and wellbeing

💡 Key Insight

One of the most powerful conversations centred around the importance of professionals talking openly about their own sleep. We explored why sleep is often something we struggle with in silence—and how sharing our experiences can help break down stigma and encourage positive change for individuals and help organisations to look through a different paradigm at sleep hygiene.

🎯 Looking Ahead

To keep the momentum going, everyone set a personal goal to work on over the coming weeks.

A special shoutout to Bee from Make It Happen, whose goal is to get to bed before midnight! 🌙✨ We’re all cheering you on, Bee!

Our next meeting is Monday 29th June 9
30am Venue to be confirmed, please RSVP to [email protected]

👇 What's one thing that's been sabotaging your sleep this week? Share it in the comments—we'd love to hear from you.

Yesterdays Heathy Hearts session involved preparing a Chicken, Leek and Kidney Bean Bake. Attended by a few new faves it was lovely that everyone got on well with one another and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Conversations flowed naturally throughout the session, contributing to a positive group environment.

The musical theme for the session included a selection of songs by Dire Straits and Red Hot Chili Peppers, which helped create an enjoyable atmosphere while cooking.

My key strengths demonstrated during the session were leadership, accuracy, and patience. I supported participants throughout the cooking process and ensured tasks were completed safely and correctly. Chris shared 😍

During the session, we discussed healthy eating and the benefits of consuming unprocessed foods. These foods can provide a range of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, including potassium, lycopene, calcium, and magnesium.

Although some participants arrived later than planned, they were still able to take part and enjoy the meal. Feedback was positive, with attendees commenting that the dish was tasty and enjoyable.

Following a chat with local residemts we have agreeed a change of day for future sessions these will now take place on Tuesdays from 12:00 pm until 3:00pm

We hope this maybe more helpful around peoples diaries 😍 hope to see you there
