At The Open Door Charity we make support available with regards to depression and anxiety in a way which is friendly, laid back, informal and the antitheses of the traditional medical, clinical, GP waiting room approach. We tackle stigmas, increase tolerance, inspire discussion and affiliate the dialogue around these issues with creative, artistic and musical circles rather than the medical, clinical domain. We offer is free, confidential and immediate access to our innovative and unique therapeutic offer, Bazaar. We also have a range of projects and services which tackle the many myths and taboos which are prevalent with regards to mental health issues across the community, using the arts and music in particular. It is these which have a direct negative impact upon young people's willingness to readily access support should they require it.

for Health and Wellbeing, Erin was commended for her compassionate mental heart and parent-carer support. For Long Service Award, Lorraine was honoured for decades of community service and thoughtful mentoring.
