We’re thrilled to announce that Age UK Wirral in partnership with innocent, The Big Knit, is back, and we need your help!

Its time to grab your knitting needles and crochet hooks and get involved – Age UK Wirral receives 30p for every hat knitted, helping provide much needed services and support to help older people live well.

❤️ HELP SOPHIA TAKE ON THE LONDON MARATHON 2027!

Sophia Turnbull is taking on the incredible challenge of the London Marathon to raise money for Age UK WLS, a charity very close to her heart and her family.

Sophia’s uncle was diagnosed with dementia at just 52, and her grandma also lives with dementia. Age UK Wirral has been a huge source of support for both of them and the wider family, helping them through what has been a difficult journey.

Having recently completed an Ironman, Sophia is taking on her next challenge to give something back to the charity that has made such a difference to her family. 💙

Volunteer Opportunity – Help Us Make Digital Learning Fun! 💜

Do you enjoy helping others get to grips with technology? We’re looking for a friendly and patient volunteer to support our weekly Digital Group Session in Bromborough.

Our 2-hour sessions help older people build their digital skills, confidence and independence, from using tablets and smartphones to discovering the many benefits and joys of being online.

🙌 We’re looking for someone who can:

Support participants with basic digital skills, be patient, friendly and encouraging. Help people learn at their own pace.

You don’t need to be a technology expert — a willingness to help and share your knowledge is what matters most!

What a wonderful afternoon at our Bromborough venue! 🎶

Our dementia clients and residents were treated to some fantastic live entertainment, and it was lovely to see everyone getting involved. ❤️

There was lots of singing, dancing, smiles and laughter as familiar songs brought back happy memories and created some special moments together.

Music really does have a wonderful way of connecting people, and it was a pleasure to see the joy it brought to everyone this afternoon. 🥰

A big thank you to Mark Birch for helping make the day so enjoyable.
