What a great weekend we achieved 17 blue Road Marching badges! We are very proud of the cadets who took part as the task was 2 consecutive days of road marching 15km on day one and 12km on day 2… we sang, we laughed, we made new friends and met many dogs and ponies on the way! We were accompanied by 1123 - Hooton Park Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets and 2184 Upton Sqn! Great teamwork!!

A busy week for 400 Squadron.

Today Cadets took to the skies in their first Air Experience Flight.

The weather was fantastic for the Cadets to take the controls and fly over some of the iconic Merseyside landmarks.

There was even time for a few aerobatics.

Smiles all round on landing.

On Tuesday 11th November Cadets and Staff joined the Friends of Flaybrick - KAVS for an Armistice Day service.

With kind permission from the schools, the Cadets took the morning off from their studies to demonstrate to the local community, their act of Remembrance.

Yet another fine example to other young people what it means to be an RAF Air Cadet.

On Sunday, 400(Birkenhead)Squadron were joined by Cadets and Staff from 2184(Upton)Squadron to parade in Hamilton Square Birkenhead, as part of the Remembrance Sunday celebrations.

A fantastic turn out by the public as usual and an outstanding performance by both Squadrons.

CI Stevens-Clay is returning to the Royal Air Force in his new role as a Photographer, and we wish him all the best! 📷✈️

FS (now CI) Martin has aged out after 7 years with the Sqn, and will be returning to us as a CFAV in the new year!

It was a very busy final parade tonight with the following awards give out

1 x Gold First Aid Instructor
1 x Silver DofE
1 x Bronze DofE
1 X BTEC Level 2 Diploma in teamwork and personal development
1 x Master cadet Qualification
1 x Silver Cyber Badge
2 x Blue Wings
2 qualifications for one of the Civilian Instructors.

We also have 5 cadets enrolled on the BTEC level 2 Diploma tonight so more awards coming soon………..
