Bicester Green Bicester's Centre for Circular Economy and Skills

We are a shop for reconditioned and reclaimed hardware, household items and bicycles.

Our volunteers reduce waste and learn to repair bikes and electrical appliances and repurpose wood. Centre for Skills, Sustainability & Secondhand Stuff

We are a shop & workshops by Garth Park and the The Garth, only 5min from the town centre. We reuse, repair, repurpose, recondition and recycle bikes, electricals and wooden items. Our amazing team of volunteers in the wood workshop can also make

your own commission from reclaimed wood and materials. Volunteer opportunities available in the shop, bicycle workshop, electrical repairs and the wood workshop. You don't have to be skilled to join us, our team love teaching and sharing their own skills.

🌟 Celebrating National Volunteers’ Week 🌟

It is National Volunteers' Week, and so the perfect moment to shine a light on the incredible volunteers who power everything we do at Bicester Green.

Across our Woodwork, Electrical and Bike workshops, in the IT lab and the Shop, and everyone behind the scenes, your dedication makes a real difference every single day.

We want to recognise, appreciate, and thank every person who gives their time, energy, advice and skills to help others cut waste and keep valuable items out of landfill.

From repairing electricals, reconditioning bikes, cleaning down laptops and tablets, running the shop, driving the van, overseeing the Library of Things, arranging Repair Cafés, attending community events, mending clothes, scrubbing clean garden tools, hosing down lawnmowers, de-greasing chains, sharpening tools, making hedgehog and bird boxes… the list truly is endless.

💚 To all our volunteers: we salute you 💚
Your generosity keeps our community thriving, and we couldn’t do any of it without you.

🛠 Bicester Green Trustees Sarah and Peter meet MP in Parliament 🛠

The Bicester Green Repair Cafe on 21st March was our busiest to date, with customers queueing for advice and support from our fabulous volunteers. It was wonderful to see so many people choosing to repair, reuse and keep treasured items in circulation.

Just four days later, on 25th March, Bicester Green was proud to join repair groups from across the UK at a special Repair Café in Parliament. More than 90 MPs attended, with 100 repair groups from all four nations, championing the need for stronger policies that make repairing and reusing everyday items easier, more affordable, and more accessible for everyone.

A highlight for us was meeting our MP, Calum Miller, who came along, chatted with our trustees Sarah and Peter, and signed the Repair and Reuse Declaration. His support means a great deal, and it brings the total to 143 MPs who signed up — a fantastic milestone for the movement.
