Otmoor Girlguiding Units will be joining the parade on 8th November.

🌺 Remembrance Sunday – Sunday 8th November

The community is warmly invited to join us in Bicester as we gather to remember and honour all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country.

The parade will make its way to Market Square, where the Service of Remembrance will begin at 10:55am, followed by the two-minute silence at 11:00am.

The parade will then continue through Bicester, with a salute and the laying of wreaths at the Church Memorial, accompanied by the Military Wives Choir Bicester.

A church service will begin at 11:45am.

We encourage everyone to come together to pay their respects and reflect on the courage, service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, past and present.

We will remember them. ❤️

The Diwali festival, also known as the Festival of Lights, will take place from 6 November this year 🎇

It's a five-day festival celebrated by Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains around the world, to celebrate new beginnings and a triumph of light over darkness. Celebrations can include lighting diyas (small lamps), decorating homes as well as lighting fireworks and sharing gifts.
