💙 Everyday situations can be overwhelming for a young person with an acquired brain injury. This card helps explain hidden difficulties, encouraging patience, understanding, and support when it's needed most.

🧸 Hi, it’s me, Albie!

I know that for young people (and teddies!) living with an acquired brain injury, even small challenges can feel big. That’s why I’m so excited to tell you about our Brain Injury Info Card! 💳

This little card might be small, but it’s mighty. It’s the perfect size to tuck in your pocket or wallet, and it’s here to help young people aged 11-18 living with ABI feel more confident in tricky situations. 💙

🔹 How it helps:
This special card explains the often hidden effects of brain injuries: things like finding it hard to process information, remembering things, or keeping steady on your feet. Whether you’re at a train station, in class, or even talking to the police, this card can help others understand what you’re going through and remind them to be patient, kind, and supportive.

💌 How to get one:
Families can ask for a Brain Injury Info Card by emailing [email protected]. It’s completely free because we want every young person to have the support they deserve. 👉 Visit our website to find out more: https://childbraininjurytrust.org.uk/brain-injury-information-card/

💬 Know someone who might need this?
Please share this post and help me spread the word! Together, we can make every day a little easier. 💙

💙 I'm so excited to share that our virtual CBIT Camp in the Cloud family event is returning this autumn!

Last year's event brought so much fun, laughter, and connection for our families, and we can't wait to do it all again. Have a read of the post below to find out more and see how to sign up. ⬇️✨

We’re so excited to be partnering with the incredible team at Over The Wall Camp to bring back our virtual CBIT Camp in the Cloud family event this autumn: a special day filled with magic, mischief, connection, community, and fun. 💙

Last year’s event showed just how powerful shared experiences can be for families affected by childhood acquired brain injury. Together, we created moments of joy, confidence, belonging, and togetherness, helping families feel supported, included, and less alone.

As Sharon, our Community Inclusion & Virtual Support Manager, shared:
“There were real moments of wholehearted joy that were not only fun, but moments that supported confidence, belonging and inclusion, independence, and hope.”

And from Meg Southerton at Over The Wall:
“CBIT Family Camp in the Cloud 2025 was more than a day of fun activities; it was a joyful space of play, enriched with a wholesome sense of community that truly felt to have made a difference for families.”

But the most important voices are our families themselves:

☀️ “You brought sunshine into our home.”
💙 “Our son felt included and that gave him confidence to try new things.”
🎨 “Seeing my son choose to interact with the group and try face paint for the first time made us so happy.”
⭐ “Encouraging my eldest child to be more independent.”

Please note: Camp in the Cloud is open to families who are currently, or have previously been, supported by the Child Brain Injury Trust and have a child aged 6–17 with an acquired brain injury.

We can’t wait to do it all again this autumn. Find out more and book your place here: https://childbraininjurytrust.org.uk/events/camp-in-the-cloud-2026/
