Water Safety Partnership Launch at Knockbreda Primary School 🌊

On Friday 22nd, our Community Engagement team were delighted to join Mark from Choice Housing to launch an exciting new water safety partnership with local primary schools — starting with the fantastic P6 & P7 classes at Knockbreda Primary School.

The pupils had a great session learning about the important roles our volunteers play in keeping our waterways safe, as well as gaining valuable knowledge on how to stay safe around water.

With the summer just around the corner, it was the perfect opportunity to introduce the lifesaving “Float to Live” technique — a simple but effective method that can help save lives in an emergency.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this such a success. We look forward to continuing to work together to educate and keep our communities safe! 💙

Stay safe, stay informed, and let’s build a safer Belfast together

We had a fantastic visit to Orange Pips Playgroup on Thursday last week!

Our team shared the lifesaving Float to Live message, and we were delighted to have two fantastic helpers from the group who demonstrated our lifejackets and helmets, showing how safety equipment is used.

The fun continued outside as the group explored our Land Rover and our retired lifeboat, Ray of Hope which was a real highlight of the visit.

Thank you to Orange Pips Playgroup for such a warm welcome!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that the incredible team from Hamilton Shipping took to the streets on the 3rd May for the Belfast City Marathon Relay and absolutely smashed it.

Not only did they show some serious heart (and lung power) on the day, but they also raised a staggering £2,052 towards our vital life saving service.

A massive thank you to every staff member who laced up their trainers, pushed through the miles, and to everyone who donated to support their efforts.
