NICVA NICVA, the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action, is a membership and representative umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in NI.

As part of Cyber Awareness Month in October, we are partnering with the NI Cyber Security Centre to bring you this one-hour webinar. This workshop takes the NCSC security and threat intelligence angle: what is happening to charities as attackers start using AI, and what staff need to know to stay safe.

AI is changing the way charities are targeted, from convincing phishing emails and voice-clone phone calls to sensitive information leaking out through everyday chatbot use.

This one-hour online session sets out what is actually happening to organisations in the sector, drawing on NCSC guidance, it gives staff practical ground rules: what is safe to put into an AI tool and what is not, how to spot the warning signs of AI-enabled fraud, and who to tell if something looks wrong.

On 27 October, NICVA’s new website will go live, bringing all our resources and services under one digital roof.

Users will only need one login to post jobs to CommunityNI , find out about the latest fundraising opportunities on GrantTracker and much more.

Our new online payment system will allow users to book our training courses and events directly through the website.

Improvements to our website also mean we can offer members new services like a CommunityNI Jobs integrated application system which provides a smoother recruitment process by allowing candidates to apply for jobs directly through our website.
