The Society of the Holy Child Jesus is an international congregation of religious women in the Catholic Church, founded by Cornelia Connelly in 1846.

The society spans four continents and is dedicated to helping people believe that God lives and acts in them and in our world. In 2026, applicants working in the fields of education, environmental justice, social justice, anti-trafficking, and refugees and asylum seekers can apply for grants between £10,000 and £25,000.

Core and project costs considered. The deadline for the next round of funding is 5pm, 3 August 2026.

Connections Through Culture (CTC) grants by British Council are designed to enable meaningful partnerships, cross-cultural exchange and long-term collaboration between the UK and participating countries.

Grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 are available to support creative practitioners, cultural professionals, artists, organisations, festivals, biennials, hubs and collectives to develop and deliver projects across a range of themes and art forms.

NICVA member organisation, A Safe Space to be Me - Emotional Well-being Hubmarked 10 years of support for neurodivergent people and families at a Stormont event this month.

Throughout the event, guests were invited to reflect on the reality of waiting for services through The Wait List Wall, an installation sharing the experiences of individuals and families navigating lengthy delays and limited access to support. Attendees also received symbolic "Still Waiting" name badges, recognising the experiences of those who continue to wait for answers, assessment and treatment.

We're pleased to welcome Aoife Finnegan MLA as the new chair of the All Party Group (APG) for the Voluntary and Community Sector.

Aoife was elected as chair at our recent Annual General Meeting.

APGs provide a forum by which MLAs and outside organisations and individuals can meet to discuss shared interests in a particular cause or subject. In this case, the wide range of issues facing the Voluntary and Community Sector – from funding through to recognition and collaboration.

Since our first meeting in January 2025, the APG has made real strides to make sure the voice of our sector is heard at the heart of government.

We look forward to working with Aoife to build on this progress as we try to secure the future of the sector in Northern Ireland.

Can you believe it's been over a week since NICVA SUMMIT 2026? 😮

We certainly can't. We've spent over a year planning, organising, designing and revising our second annual conference.

To say thanks for everyone's hard work, the NICVA team went out for pizzas. 🍕
Without this team, this year's SUMMIT wouldn't have been the success it was. 🎉 🎉 🎉

We also said a huge thanks to Shauna O'Neill, our communications manager, before she put on her out-of-office for a year, starting her maternity leave.

Shauna is the reason why this year's SUMMIT looked so amazing, coordinating videos, photos, graphics, programmes and so much more on top of everything else NICVA offers to its members.

We're wishing you all the best Shauna! We'll miss you so much.
