🎶 SC&T Youth Performance Group is back! 🎶

We’re delighted to welcome everyone back along with some new faces for another term of music making, learning, performing and lots of fun!

They’re already working towards their first performance:

📍 King’s Pavilion, Aberdeen

The group will support Hannah Rarity & Heather Cartwright in concert at King’s Pavilion, 7pm, during the WayWORD Festival!

The Autumn Term of classes has officially started here at SC&T Youth, and we’re so excited for another term of learning, collaborating, making music and, most importantly, having fun!

A very special THANK YOU to each and every one of you who has donated instruments to us. It genuinely makes such a huge difference to the young people we work with.

This week alone, we have over 30 guitars and fiddles heading home with young people, giving them an instrument of their own to learn on, practise with at home and continue building their confidence and skills between classes. 🎻🎸

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helps us make music accessible to young people, we couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to another brilliant term! 🎶

✨ SC&T Youth Beginner Weekly Classes in Fiddle and Guitar - Autumn Term starting soon! ✨

Looking to try something new or get started in Scottish traditional music? Our SC&T Youth beginner classes are the perfect place to start for all young people aged 7-26!

📍 MacRobert Building, University of Aberdeen
📅 Starting 31st August (10-week term)
✨ Suitable for total beginners aged 7+
💥 Free to attend (with optional donation if you can)

Our classes are fun, friendly and supportive - designed to build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy making music together. No experience needed at all, just come along and give it a go! With four terms of classes at beginner level to progress through (Beginner 0, 1, 2 and 3), young players can enjoy up to 40 weeks of tuition in fiddle or guitar, building skills week by week in a supportive and fun group setting.

✨SC&T Youth Camp 2026 – Day 5✨

And just like that… another SC&T Youth Camp is over! 💜

A huge well done to all our amazing young players for a brilliant final concert. It was the perfect way to round off a fantastic week of music, fun and friendship, after enjoying our legendary Big Manny’s Pizza Party! 🍕🎶

Thank you to everyone who made this week so special. We already can’t wait to do it all again…

✨SC&T Youth Camp 2026 – Day 3✨

The smiles keep getting bigger! Another fantastic day of music, friendship and fun, rounded off with our much loved Tutor Concert, Ceilidh, Cake Night!

It’s always one of the highlights of the week, bringing everyone together to be inspired by the amazing tutors, dance, eat plenty of delicious home bakes and make memories that last long after the Youth Camp is over. 💜
