We’re excited to offer FREE activities for children and young people aged 5-14 years living in Aberdeen through our popular Summer in the City programme!

There will also be activities available to families who don’t meet our priority criteria.

Today was one of those days that reminded us just how powerful community support can be. 💙

A huge thank you to Dana Petroleum for volunteering their time and helping transform our new community space. The team worked incredibly hard painting so many of our areas, and honestly, it was emotional seeing the building finally start to come to life.

For weeks we’ve been looking at bare walls, plans, and ideas, imagining what this space could become for the children, young people, families, and community we support. Today, thanks to the amazing efforts of the Dana Petroleum team, those visions started becoming reality.

Every brushstroke has helped create a brighter, more welcoming environment where people can feel safe, creative, connected, and supported.

We are so grateful for your time, energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to get stuck in. Thank you for helping us turn an empty building into a place filled with possibility and magic. ✨

🚨 URGENT APPEAL – ELECTRICIAN NEEDED THIS WEEK 🚨

Can any local electricians help our charity this week?

We’re looking for support to complete some essential work at our new community space on Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen:

⚡ Connect hot water system
⚡ Install electric oven
⚡ Install electric hob

We’re working hard to get our building fully operational so we can continue supporting children, young people and families in our community. Every day brings us closer, but we still need a little help to get over the finish line.

If you’re an electrician, know someone who may be able to help, or would like to support us through discounted labour, donated time, or sponsorship, we’d love to hear from you.

It really is unbelievable how much progress has been made in such a short space of time!

A huge thank you to James h buchan and son Drain Surgeon Aberdeen, Mark, Finlay’s Handyman service and Craig for their incredible hard work, generosity, and dedication. What was once an absolute mess is now starting to feel like a real community space, and that’s down to the people who have rolled up their sleeves and made it happen.

From installing our new bathrooms and tackling essential building works, to creating amazing murals and transforming the space room by room, every bit of support has made a massive difference. The amount of time, skill, and effort that has gone into this project is something we will never take for granted.

We’re so excited to see our vision coming to life and can’t wait for our children, young people, families, and wider community to enjoy the space. Thank you for helping us create something truly special. 💙💜💛💚🩷

🌿 A huge thank you to our newest volunteer, Davie! 🌿

We are incredibly grateful to have Davie join the Your Love Rara team and share his fantastic landscaping skills with us. He has already been working hard on transforming our front garden, helping to create a welcoming, attractive, and positive space for everyone who visits our venue.

Our outdoor areas are such an important part of the experience we provide for children, young people, families, and the wider community, and it’s amazing to see the difference that skilled volunteers can make.

Thank you, Davie, for giving your time, energy, and expertise to support our charity. We can’t wait to see the garden continue to grow and develop over the coming weeks. 🌱

What a fantastic day we have had at camp!
Our theme today was football, we started the day unleashing our creativity by designing our own football shirts.

We took a scenic trip to Fitty to brush up our football skills at the park, we put these in action in our football match (even the camp coaches got involved!)
We headed back to Yourloverara HQ where our incredible volunteer Abigail showed us some of her amazing bead creations and taught everyone how to make their own star.

Finally it was time for our final activity, the Potato World Cup! 🥔🏆😆 Both teams created fabulous potato mascots, came up with tattie themed team names and even composed their own spud themed chants. We got a chance to get into the world cup spirit by getting our faces painted, big thank you to our volunteer Vicky Mcgeough for joining for this. After a few neck and neck potato races our winning team was chosen based on the loudest chant!

🎉🤠✨ Last Saturday, the children from St. Margaret's Nursery had an amazing time celebrating their end-of-year party with special guests Toy Boy and Girl ! ✨🤠🎉

It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and happy faces as the children enjoyed a fun-filled day of dancing, games, and making special memories with their friends. 🥰

A huge thank you to St. Margaret's Nursery for choosing Your Love Rara to be part of this special celebration. We hope all the children even their parents had a fantastic time and created memories they'll cherish for years to come. ❤️
