Last week was Challenge Poverty Week and ironically we have to give a huge thank you to all the congregations; organisations and individuals who have generously donated food to our foodbank following the Harvest Festival celebrations last week. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference to people and families struggling to put food on the table.

We are incredibly grateful for the compassion and generosity shown by others. Thank you for standing alongside those who need support. ❤️

We hope for a future where foodbanks are no longer needed, but until then, your kindness makes a real difference.

Thanks last week goes to Allison Brown's Church St Mary's Pro- Cathedral; Rob and Anna & friends from St Devenicks Church and our friends from Danestone Congregational Church for their Harvest donations.

Also thanks to Emma & Mike at CFINE for delivering a pallet which is also very much appreciated!

Jackie Burns - thank for the tins of soups! Sorry no photo!

Apologies if I have missed anyone out!

This week is Challenge Poverty Week .
We're proud to stand alongside the Poverty Alliance and Fairer Aberdeen Fund-funded organisations this Challenge Poverty Week.
Together, we're raising our voices for a fairer Aberdeen - and a Scotland where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Follow us this week to hear from people with lived experience, challenge the stigma around poverty and find out what's being done to create change.
Join us. Share. Listen. Challenge Poverty.

Perfect send off for our dear chum Kevin Morrice today, delivered by John Merson at Donside Community Church. Kev's kindness, cheekiness, big heart, faith, daft side and love for his family were beautifully summarised to a slideshow of photos. A lot of smiles and laughter among the tears. Rest in peace chum. ❤️
