Any success achieved through the Sam Lobban Trophy is only made possible by the collection of people who give up their time and resource to pull the day together.

The team here is incredible lucky and thankful to be working alongside many others committed

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported this year, including our competing teams, our sponsors, all those who provided auction and raffle prizes, made donations, or provided their time and skill. A special thank you as always to the team at Aberdeen Wanderers for letting us takeover the grounds and for ongoing support in the build up to the day, and on the day itself.

Another year, another great day out in the Aberdeen sun for The Sam Lobban Trophy 💚

A massive thank you to everyone who came along yesterday and made it an incredible day in aid of mental health awareness and support in the north-east.

🏆 The 2026 SLT winners, sponsored by Trophies International, was Aberdeen Grammar Rugby - making it three wins in a row!
🏉 Our player of the tournament, sponsored by Ardoe House Hotel & Spa was Kilimanjaro Rhino’s Liam Leiper.

We’re loving seeing everyone get involved so keep the posts and comments coming. We’ve got plenty still to come before we wrap up for this year’s event, including the total money raised, so stay tuned over the next few days…

And just like that, we're just 24 hours away from the 2026 Sam Lobban Trophy kicking off 💚

The first game of the day will kick off at 10.45 AM, so make sure to get down and see the action commence. Games will take place throughout the morning and afternoon, with the festivities, trophy presentation, and raffle shortly after, offering plenty of opportunities to drop by and get involved.
