On the final day of National Nursing Week in the Everett Atrium, Chloe Dueck, Tolu Akinloya, and Eva Marie Duro were celebrated after receiving some unexpected news. 👩‍⚕️ ✨

The three are the 2026 Wyrzykowski Family Graduate Nurse Award winners, a recognition made possible through the generosity of the Wyrzykowski family. Their support helps new nurses feel seen and valued as they begin their careers, while strengthening patient care at St. Boniface Hospital.

For Chloe, Tolu, and Eva Marie, the honour reflects the care, compassion, and advocacy they bring to every shift.💙

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Tova Vickar.

Tova and her husband, Larry, have been devoted supporters of our Foundation and of many other causes across our community. Her name, Tova, means “good” in Hebrew - a symbol of the kindness she showed to everyone. She touched so many lives through her generosity and spirit and will be remembered for her warmth and compassion.

Our thoughts are with the Vickar family, the Vickar Automotive Group, and all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing.

Meet Raymond and Mona Souque.

Raymond survived a heart attack 16 years ago thanks to care at St. B — Manitoba’s cardiac centre of excellence. “Because of them, we are still a couple,” said Mona, his wife.

Grateful to the hospital, Mona and Raymond have been donors to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation for over 12 years and counting.
