Brooklin Toastmasters is part of the Toastmasters International organization; a non-profit, educational group, dedicated to helping members sharpen speaking, listening and leadership skills. At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a fun and supportive envir

Brooklin Whitby Toastmasters meeting recap for August 25, 2026.

The theme for the meeting was summer closing out. Mary Pomeroy Brown gave an inspirational speech, Why Not Not, about the fears that stop us from doing things. Do them before it's too late. Kris Nelson gave her a very insightful evaluation. , led by Dennis Bartel, had members talk about summer activities, such as camping, swimming and more…. Mary’s speech on picnic took the top prize.

Special mention of Bruce Richardson completing level 4 in the Presentation Mastery .

Next meeting is on Sept 8, 2026.
