We are very honoured to have participated in the Islamic History Month Celebration, "Golden Age," presented by the Muslim Women of Durham Region. It was a great pleasure to speak to people about our services, as well as enjoy the celebrations and discussions with so many people from other organziations and vendors.
We look forward to continuing to share, learn and participate in ongoing initiatives with local organizations.

Two meaningful days of connection, learning and community.

We’re grateful to the staff who supported Black youth at PowerUp! and then continued the conversation at All-In. Across both days, there was space to build relationships, celebrate identity and culture, share knowledge, and reflect on the collective work of creating stronger, more culturally affirming experiences for Black youth.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with care, energy and commitment. The connections made over these two days will continue to strengthen our community and move this work forward.

It takes a community to help keep children and youth safe.

Join Durham CAS for a viewing and facilitated discussion of CBC's When It All Went Wrong: The Missing Boys, an investigative documentary and podcast series.

This evening is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and explore how communities, organizations, systems and individuals can come together to better support young people. Through conversation and shared learning, we can strengthen our collective understanding and commitment to the safety and well-being of children and youth.

We are excited to announce our third annual Golden Age celebration made possible through a partnership grant from the Town Ajax. October is officially recognized as Islamic History Month in Canada, proclaimed by Parliament in 2007 to celebrate, educate, and share the rich heritage and contributions of Muslims to Canadian society.

We will be bringing the Virtual Reality experience and offer free family-friendly activities for the community. The event will also feature entertainment, food and retail vendors, and community partners such as the Ajax Anti-Racism Task Force. The event will be fully organized and run by dedicated volunteers.

Through this event, we aim to foster understanding, inclusion, and positive community engagement while creating a welcoming space for families of all backgrounds.
