God’s keeping power does not invite us to become passive. It invites us to trust Him.

Pastor Candia gave several practical responses:

Trust the Lord instead of depending entirely on your own understanding.

Surrender your will to God.

Meditate on His Word so that you know what He has said.

Reject fear and remember that God has promised to strengthen and uphold His people.

Rely on His mercy and grace rather than your own ability.

Continue growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Which response do you need to practise this week?

A difficult season does not automatically mean that God has left you.

Peter wrote to believers who were scattered, persecuted, and grieving through various trials. Their circumstances were painful, but they were still chosen and kept by God.

The sermon reminded us that faith is not proven only on the mountaintop. It is also proven in the fire.

Your trial is temporary.

God’s presence is faithful.

Your living hope remains secure in Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to be kept by God?

It means rejection does not cancel His choice.

It means hardship does not destroy the living hope we received through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It means our eternal inheritance is not controlled by changing circumstances.

It means our faith may be tested, but God remains faithful.

Peter’s readers were scattered and suffering. Pastor Candia reminded us that their trials had not separated them from God’s keeping power.

Swipe through the carousel and identify the truth you most need to remember today.

You are kept.

Not by your own strength. Not by the approval of others. Not because every circumstance is working according to your plan.

You are kept by the power of God through faith.

Pastor Candia Modeste reminded us that Peter wrote to believers who were scattered, misunderstood, and suffering. Yet their hardship had not removed them from God’s care.

They were still chosen.

They still possessed a living hope.

Their inheritance was still secure.

Whatever this week brings, remember that God has not abandoned you. Place your confidence in Him and allow His Word to strengthen your faith.

Read 1 Peter 1:1-12 and carry this declaration with you:

This week, we were reminded that God's promises are rooted in His unchanging character.

He fulfilled His Word to Abraham and Sarah. He strengthened Abraham's faith. He gave hope as an anchor for the soul.

As one diverse community of faith, we are called to trust God, wait patiently, walk in obedience and encourage one another.

Let us pray together.

Father, help us trust Your promises, no matter the delay. Keep us steadfast in faith when circumstances seem difficult. Give us grace to walk in obedience to Your Word.

Bring unity to Your people. Help us encourage one another across generations, cultures, and life experiences as we wait upon You.

Open our eyes to recognize Your work in our lives. Remind us that Your timing is perfect and Your faithfulness never fails.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Abraham did not allow unbelief to have the final word. He was strengthened in faith and became fully convinced that God was able to perform what He had promised.

Faith does not mean that we never face questions. It means that our questions do not become greater than our confidence in God.

Across every culture, generation, and season of life, this truth remains the same: God is able, God is faithful, and His Word is dependable.
