We are almost one month into our Fall 2026 Dancing the Parenting session and we are having so much fun dancing with you and your families. Dancing the Parenting is about supporting the relationship between children and their caregivers; but is also an opportunity for us to connect with the community and be a part of that relationship too.

Cela fait presque un mois que notre session Danse en Famille de l’automne 2026 a commencé, et nous prenons beaucoup de plaisir à danser avec vous et vos familles. Danse en Famille vise à renforcer la relation entre les enfants et leurs parents ou tuteurs ; mais c’est aussi l’occasion pour nous de tisser des liens avec la communauté et de faire partie intégrante de cette relation.

Foolish Operations is grateful to be living and dancing on the ancestral and unceded Indigenous territories of the xʷməθkʷəjˀəm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil Waututh) First Nations. Today, our team is thinking of our friends in the indigenous community; join us in honouring the survivors of residential schools and let’s all work together towards reconciliation. O siem 🧡

DANCING THE PARENTING

Verkstedet består av ca. 60 minutter bevegelse etterfulgt av en rolig samlingsstund med avslapping og lesing fra barnebøker.

Did you know that today is Official Languages Day? Since 2009, this day is an opportunity to honour our linguistic heritage and celebrate our bilingual community!

This year’s theme is Two Voices in Harmony and you can get involved in two ways!
1. Today, from 1:30-3:00 (ET), there is a virtual event on the power of Canadian music.
2. Participate in My Canadian Song, a collective playlist to represent Canada.

Foolish Operations is proud to support and promote this wonderful event - we are so thankful for our bilingual community 🌍

Saviez-vous qu’aujourd’hui, c’est la journée des langues officielles? Depuis 2009, ce jour est un occasion de faire valoir notre patrimoine linguistique est célébrer notre communauté bilingue!

Le thème de cette année est Deux voix en harmonie, vous pouvez vous impliquer de deux façons!
1. Aujourd’hui, de 13 h à 15 h (HE), participer à l’événement virtuel sur le pouvoir de la musique canadienne.

We had an amazing time bringing Moving Resting Nesting to 9 different Surrey Libraries branches last month - a huge thank you again for hosting us!

Another warm thank you to the 223 participants who joined us. We had so much fun singing and dancing with you.

As we say goodbye to this show, for now, we are beyond thankful for the trees, the soil, the roots, the birds, and of course - our Foolish community. 🌳🪺💚

Nous avons passé un moment formidable en présentant Dans la Maison des Oiseux dans 9 succursales différentes de Surrey Libraries le mois dernier - encore un immense merci de nous avoir accueillis !

Encore un grand merci aux 223 participants qui se sont joints à nous. On s’est tellement amusés à chanter et à danser avec vous.

We are kicking things off this Saturday at Riley Park with a dress rehearsal open to the public - get a free sneak peak!

Baby Space Opera is a co-production of Foolish Operations and , created by Julie Lebel in collaboration with dramaturge and creative mentor Jo Leslie, performers Sarah Gallos, Olivia Shaffer and Isabelle Kirouac, composer-flutist Sabrina Mo, singer Ghislaine Doté, assistant producer and stage manager Karen Thào La, with the contribution in production of Mandy Huang and designers Diane Park (costumes/sets/accessories) and Andie Lloyd (lighting and projections).
